- We purchased for the Omni directional antenna as we live on 24 acres in middle of woods. Our cottage is just under 600 sq ft so the setup parameters could not be met therefor degrading the reception as you had to be so many feet away from various components. It was a difficult setup for a tiny one level home and one bedroom cottage. It did amplify reception from 1 bar to 2-3 bars for both Verizon and Cricket/AT&T cell service.
- We live in a dead spot in between two cell towers and our service was horrible. In field test mode on my phone prior to installing the booster my signal ranged between -110 to -120 dBm, basically my phone was worthless without using Wi-Fi calling. After installing the cell booster my family and I can actually use our phones once again! I am now getting between-86 to -90 dBm constantly. Only regret I have is not getting this booster sooner.
- I’m not happy with this so far. I have 1 bar in my house. Ridiculous amount to spend. Hubby thought 13 reviews were enough to recommend it. Well here’s #14. No
- all that work, and i never got it to work
- We live out in the country, on a stretch of land cut out of the woods. Dropped calls can happen often in certain rooms of the different homes for our family members, across our land. There are times when we\'d have to just go outside on the porch or the patio, just to maintain a signal. So we\'ve tried out a few different cell phone signal boosters over the years. Here are my thoughts on this one.The good news is that installation is pretty simple. I attached the outside antenna to a pole that extends above our house (no obstructions). Connect that cable to the booster inside. Then connect the cable from the booster to the indoor antenna. Making sure that the panel is at least 30 feet away, and not pointing towards the direction of the booster. That\'s it. No need for special software, programming anything. Just connect the cables, make sure things are positioned right, and plug it in. The whole process doesn\'t take more than a few minutes. Now, about the signal improvements.... We have the indoor antenna in our master bedroom. If we\'re in bed, we can get 5G signals on our phones that we otherwise never get. Usually its a bar or two of 4G, potentially dropping to 3G. Much better reception. But once you leave that room, the boosted signal lowers a great deal. The moment you leave that room, no more 5G. Once you\'re 30 feet away, you\'re back at two bars of 4G. Our house is about 3,000 square feet. So it\'s problematic if the booster barely helps your phone signal if you\'re 15 feet away from the indoor antenna.I don\'t think it\'s a problem with the outside antenna getting a signal in the first place. Because I\'ve set up boosters that were supposed to be for one room only, in our master bedroom. And it would get us to 5G, just in the bedroom. The point of setting up this booster was to be able to maybe get a 5G signal in the next room, or at least most bars for 4G. And that\'s not really happening.I\'m going to fine-tune things a bit. Maybe try to reposition the outside antenna, move the indoor antenna. Because I\'d really like to be able to maintain stronger signals throughout the entire house, not just the master bedroom. So it does work, and it\'s undeniably helpful in the room that the indoor antenna is positioned in. I\'d just be a bit happier with it, if it offered a much stronger signal in more areas of our home.
- My first thought when getting this Omni Cell Phone Signal Booster was to install it in the attic of my house. Figured placing it there would provide a wide-open space ideal for improving the Verizon cell phone signal. Obviously, that didn’t work for the antenna needs to be place outside preferably on the roof for optimal results. Was regularly getting only two bars before installing this Cell Phone Signal Booster on the roof\'s edge. Now it always maxes out at four bars no matter the time of day, weather conditions or how high traffic is on the wi-fi router. My wife and I have iPhone 13s and the 5G signal is much stronger and stable now.I’m also able to see the secure Xfinity Wi-Fi hotspot in my list of available wireless networks while inside my house. Don’t need to travel three blocks away anymore to connect to it. Have an Internet subscription with Comcast that gives me free access to their secure hotspot. This little-known benefit alone makes this Amazboost device well worth the money.Too many times I’ve tried some new specialty gadget out that never worked as advertised. This FCC approved 5G/4G/3G LTE cell phone signal booster I’m happy to say isn’t one of them.Thumbs up on this one. That’s The Truth!
- My phone was having intermittent disconnections. I like the user manual. I was able to make it easy to install because it was clearly described. It came with cables, antenna and booster box. I can talk on the phone without interruption.Show less
- Easy enough to set up an configure. For the price point I expected a lot better results.
