- My first booster weboost RV model worked ok for 8 years not great!! My little mountain cabin sits at 5000ft there is a tower up the top of our mountain but not clear line of sight!! I could get an ok signal with previous phones all samsung and at&tBut my new phone s20fe did not work at all with that booster!!That\'s when I started researching for boosters!!At the time weboost was the only cellphone booster I could find now there are many to choose from!!Well I now know more than I did before doing some research getting the mapper app and LTE discovery!!Also know what band frequency your phone receives and towers put out!!I bought this booster and also another antenna incase this kits yagi did not get a signal! My antenna is on a 20\' pole put everything together and used my existing rg6 cable!!Did alot of going back and forth looking at signal readings!Come to find out I was receiving signal from directions that were not on the mapper app that I had pinpointed 3 towers!!Ended up pointing in a direction completely opposite of anything mapper tower location and the Lte discovery arrow was all over the place!Anyway ended up finding the best direction and get solid signal on 66/2/5 these are solid green on the amplifier and 12/17 blinking!!So final result went from zero to sometimes signal no booster to solid 4g lte with full bars and holds strong. One more thing!!I had to stay right next to provided whip antenna so tried the old RV weboost indoor antenna and I am able to get 8 to 15 feet away and hold signal!!I will update as time goes by but so far very happy! Also after knowing I was getting good signal I upgraded my coaxial cable to rg11 better insulation and protection against the elements and better connections between antenna and amplifier!@Also can make phone callsOK hope this helps anyone with questions!!
- Working great inside my house that has metal roof. Improves from almost no signal to better than -95dBm on 4G/LTE in my computer room (measurements using the built-in Field Test Mode in iPhone). Now I can use my iPhone as internet modem (in personal hotspot mode) when the unreliable Spectrum internet goes down. I replaced the included cheap U-bolts pole mount brackets with stainless steel type found on Amazon. Easy install on the roof vent exhaust pipe as described in the user manual.
- We use this when camping so that I can get enough signal to work from there. I have to have solid wifi in order to work and make VOIP calls at the same time. Only used one weekend, but we put it on a 10 foot PVC pipe and aimed it at the nearest tower (google search found a couple of great sites to locate nearby towers). We had 1-2 bars of signal before we tried the unit. At first we didn\'t see any boost at all, then I read the instructions closer and saw the important part - the antenna and the actual unit need to be as far apart as you can. Once we moved the booster to the other end of the camper we went to 4 or 5 bars and great service. Never lost internet or a call. This unit is a \"value\" design, and the antenna is exposed, unlike some of the higher end units, but it definitely boosts the signal and we love it. If we travelled more frequently we\'d probably get one of the nicer looking permanent install models, but until then we\'ll keep using this one.
- I installed on our barn to get a better signal. Our property is in a Verizon dead zone and on a good day we were getting 1-2 bars on LTE. I looked up our cell tower on cellmapper.net and figured out which way to point the antenna. I get 3-4 bars and 5G now. The LED\'s seem to never lock in a signal for the bands we use. 66 for me on 5G and 13 for her on LTE but we get plenty of data now and was able to facetime as well. A little pricy but I needed the 66 band.
- We own 20+ acres out in the middle of nowhere East Texas. Two miles from electric and with occasional 1 bar of TMobile LTE. You have to make sure the antenna is a sufficient distance from the repeater and higher up is definitely helpful. Most important (besides sufficient distance) is the direction of the antenna. It helps to have two people. One to slowly rotate the antenna (and I really mean slowly as there is a lag) and another to look at the repeater and their phone signal. We went from 1 intermittent bar to 2-3 bars depending on where on the property we were. The transmission range is indeed limited but having at least 2 steady bars was amazing. This wasn’t the first one we tried but it was the first that worked well. We use a portable battery for the required plug and turn it on when we want phone service. The only downside I saw was the repeater got quite warm.
- This unit works works get it took 1 or2 bars to all bars inside my home on band 66. High frequencies must have a hard time getting into our house. We don\'t even have a metal roof. I used the network cell lite app to fine the best cell booster to buy and frequencies I was dealing with and where to put the outside antenna.Gene
- On my roof I get a solid 3-4 bars and can get speeds in excess off 10mbs inside I\'m lucky to get .5. so installed this device have it on 8ft pole on the roof. Have it facing the closest tower that I get good signal on the phone. Inside box will light up green on bands Verizon uses others blink but being I\'m normally on band 13 figured that doesn\'t matter. Problem is my phone doesn\'t seem to see the booster every great once in a while it does and works fantastic but 98% of the time phone connects to some crap tower with 1 bar if lucky. Inside unit is right at 35\' away like they describe. I\'ve tried changing direction of antenna and moving box inside. I can even be standing by it and my phone won\'t connect to it. If I can\'t get it working in next day or two it will go back.
- No more call fade outs while in the house. Must be closer to the antenna than I would like, but at least I have reliable cell service in the house!
