- I would give this a 5 Star if the antenna could be swapped with a taller antenna. This was recommended for Car/SUV/Van. I installed this on a 2020 Chevy Express. Antenna cable was to short, mounted the booster to the body pillars inside the top of the van and needed to run a new power connection for the power plug.The devices tested were all Samsung:Galaxy S21 Ultra (Personal Device on Verizon)Galaxy S22 Ultra Unlocked (Work Device on FirstNet)Galaxy Tab S5e (Personal Tablet on Verizon)Other than that I have seen improvements with my signal in areas where my signal varies from 1-2 bars to no signal. In RSRP the difference is -118dBm to -122dBm which usually means \"No usable Signal\"With the Booster on my RSRP signal went from -118dBm to -80dBm and the Speedtest went from 13.9 Mbps DL to 44.6Mbps DL. UL went from 0.12Mbps to 0.23Mbps.This is just one example and my main goal is to just boost what is weak.This IS NOT a Magic BOX that turns \"No Signal\" Into signal but it definitely does what is says.I have only had the opportunity to use is for a couple of days. I have Verizon and seems to work with all bands. However, my work phone is on FirstNet and mostly runs on Band 14 when it is not piggy backing off of ATT. When on ATT I noticed a difference with the signal, When the device was locked to FirstNet Only, there was no change.When using Verizon on my FirstNet Device, by swapping the SIM Card, I was able to get the same results as the S21 Ultra. I did this to to make sure that the \"No Change in Signal\" wasn\'t a device issue. Definitely due to the band that FirstNet operates on.So far I am satisfied with the HiBoost Signal booster.
- I purchased this HiBoost as a cheaper alternative to WeBoost. Out of the box I was already pleasantly surprised to see I could power the device via usb vs needing a cigarette outlet. Perfect for my van. I also love that there is an app to show me how well the device is working. My first weeks of testing were frustrating, as it would sometimes work, sometimes give me error codes. This was using the DC outlet on the device. Then I tried using the USB C outlet and it began working as advertised. I finally had service where previously I did not. I was on top of mountains in Colorado on conference video calls no problem. With the HiBoost off in the same location, I had 0 service. Really cool! (Note that in places like this, where the signal is very weak, it helps to have your device right next to the inside antenna. In the future I might invest in a stronger inside antenna as it can be a little inconvenient.)Then one day the device stopped powering on entirely. Step back in time and shortly after my Amazon purchase, I was contacted by HiBoost customer support to see if I needed any help with installation or had any questions. I found this gesture a really nice touch. So when I began having problems, I reached out via text to Dominic, who felt like my own personal tech support. First time I\'ve seen something like that from a company. Being able to text with a real person about the problems was a huge bonus. Dominic helped me resolve any issues and arranged for a replacement device to be sent to me asap. Super cool customer service. I haven\'t received the replacement device yet but if it continues to perform without hiccups for some time, I will update my review to 5 stars.Another thing worth noting about this device vs the WeBoost is the size. It\'s much thinner than the WeBoost and easy to store in my van.*UPDATE*After receiving a new device under warranty, I have been very happy with its performance after using for a couple weeks nonstop. As mentioned above, what I love about this vs the weboost is the the fact that it can plug into any usb c outlet in my van. I also love being able to monitor the performance via the app. The only thing I wish was better is the internal antenna can be a little weak. Sometimes I have to have my device right next to the antenna in really bad network areas. But overall, I am able to be online in places I previously could not. Really great device especially for the price. And A+ customer service.
- Super easy to install.Not really sure it helps. I mean... maybe it does? ... a little? But it isn\'t a significant boost. Not really sure it\'s worth the money. On the other hand, we needed SOMEthing to boost the signal... I\'m not displeased with it, just not overly excited about it.
- This provides a boost to a weak signal! I needed to boost my mobile hotspot in an area that only gets 1 to 2 bars. When I set up the HiBoost I got full bar reception and able to even connect to a video conference. The setup was easy and I didn\'t need technical help from HiBoost but after purchasing this product I was incredibly impressed by the multiple touch points from HiBoost to make sure I had help if I needed it.
