- The company reached out to me and offered a discounted upgrade. They also analysed my situation and have provided technical support to help improve success. Very few companies provide this much effort in resolving problems.----------------------------------------The manual is poor. But worse off all, it did not seem to do anything at all. No error lights but our phones behaved absolutely no differently with it on or off. I went through the trouble of putting up a ten foot mast at the peak of our gable. I used LTE Discovery to determine the location of the strongest tower and aimed the antenna that direction. I then moved the antenna in small increments to home in on the tower. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I\'m pretty sure the unit is defective so I returned it.
- This unit works great. It will increase the inside signal by at least 1 bar or more in our RV. You must have an outside signal for it to work. The service in my opinion is great, my antenna got broke off and I sent an email asking about buying just the antenna. They responded quickly, ask a couple of questions and sent a new antenna to replace the broken one for free. I thought I would have to buy one but they replaced it for free.Great product.
- I tested this unit out well on a road trip through the West Coast. Drove through California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah and did lots of Boondocking with my motorhome. Any place that I had less than full bars I would test this with the unit turned on and turned off while my phone was stationary. Most of the time I saw zero enhancement in speed. I used two different speed test applications and all those half of the time the bars would increase one or sometimes even two bars I think I only got an increase in speed once and it was about 20 MB per second. I am a very critical person and test things that I buy to their limits many times. Playing with the antenna location and reading the instructions carefully I cannot deem this unit as beneficial for me. Perhaps I just got a Faulty unit
- At this point I\'m at a one star but will update if Solid Rf remedies problem. So far customer service seems to be nonexistent as I emailed them a week ago in regards to the instructions not covering the installation of the lightning surge protector included in the order. No mention of it anywhere so your on your own to figure out if it should be mounted indoors by the booster or at the antenna, if it should be grounded, and if it\'s weatherproof if it supposed to be installed at the antenna. Decided to put it st the antenna after no response from SolidRf and got the unit working although it took a really long, long time (all day) to figure out best location and direction. All the apps and websites they refer you to for help are useless as they will show you a location of all towers but do not tell you which tower your signal is coming from. Anyway finally got it working great and boosted signal to five bars which it did for 2-3 days until now it powers on but does not register any cell signals (none of the lights on top will stay on). I checked all connections and cables and am assuming the unit is defective, awaiting a response from SolidRF so we\'ll see if they respond this time. I waited a long time after ordering to install it so I\'m out of my return period so I\'ll have to try utilize my credit card protection or see what Amazon can do since their vendor is unresponsive. The order was fulfilled through Amazon which gave me done hopefully not false sense of security but we\'ll see. Will update rating to five stars if vendor stands behind product. UPDATE: My apologies, I sent originally request for support to wrong address and once I did email the correct address they responded. Dry promptly and are in the process of helping me resolve the issue or send out a new unit if necesssry. Will update again.
- The shrouded yagi antenna has two bolt holes with the antenna feed cable nearly centered between them. The provided antenna bracket could not be attached to both holes without smashing or breaking off the feed cable. The drawing in the instructions show this antenna mounted on a different bracket (not provided), that has a large center hole for the cable. Looks like they included the wrong bracket. Also, they did include a coax surge suppressor, but it has N connectors on both sides. The box has two RG6/U cables with F -type connectors at both ends, as does the booster unit, and the indoor antenna. The outdoor antenna connector is N-type and there is just one N-to-F adapter provided. Unless I used that surge suppressor right on the outdoor antenna itself (where it would be nearly useless) then I would need two more N-to-F converters, and have more signal loss, since each of those is a 50 to 75 ohm impedance mismatch. I haven\'t even installed anything yet, but I don\'t have a good feeling about this.
