- First I would really like to give Surecalls New MAX cellular booster a 5 STAR rating. I like the boosters FME antenna connections much better than what the NEW Wilson/WeBoost Drive Reach uses. Just some back ground information...Wilson/WeBoost new boosters, even the commercial now use the (BAD, REALLY BAD) SMB push on connectors instead of the SMA they used to use. Our vehicle\'s travel in remote/fringe areas where cell phone towers are few and far in between - on and off road (our right of way). We have had several of the New Drive Reach boosters fail due to the additional weight of Wilson\'s Antenna adapter vibrating lose at the boosters SMB push on connection. (Most of Our Vehicle\'s have Cellular Truck Antennas Mounted on them, even with this type of antennas RSSI averages along most of our locations in the low -90\'s to -106dbi at the input of the booster, so a really good external antenna is a must)(0 signal in no matter how much gain the booster has equals zero out). Now my issue with SureCall Fusion2Go Max system, why 3 stars instead of 5 stars. The Fusion2Go MAX will only work with the Shark Fin magnetic external antenna that comes with the Booster. They should have it **NOTED** in the description that this booster will not work with any other type of external ANTENNAS and with an aluminum body truck you must use Velcro to hold the antenna ugh...so minus 2 stars. Now that I know this, the next replacement booster that I will install or recommend for one of our vehicles will be SureCalls Fusion2Go 3.0 as I was told it should work with the existing truck mounted antennas. I hope this information will help someone that may need to use an existing or other type of antenna. Other than that the SureCall Fusion2Go Max booster seams to work very well.
- I bought this SureCall Fusion2Go cell booster for my truck because TMobile is really bad in my area of Central Florida. Prior to the booster I wasn’t able to use Apps, the Internet, or read emails on my iPhone when relying on TMobile’s network. With the booster I can surf the web at slow speeds and use apps that require Internet at slow speeds as well. Prior to the booster I could rely on my phone to use internet and apps about 10% of the time. Now it works about 50% of the time. I’ll be switching back to Verizon which is much more reliable in my area, but this booster arrived quick, is easy to install and is of good quality. Only thing is the cord from the antenna to the amplifier is very short (maybe 4-5ft). This severely limits where you can install the antenna on your vehicle roof and where you can install the amplifier inside your vehicle. For instance I have a Toyota Tundra and installed the antenna near the center rear of my crew max roof. The cord only reached behind my back seat where I had to install the amplifier.
- If your looking for a miracle, go back to religious texts or fantasy novels. If your looking for a 1-2 bar boost of an existing signal, this unit is a good choice. I live and work in the mountains and this unit will often let me call or at least text in areas that I could not before. It is a vital part of my safety equipment.
- So far seems to work great. Did a lot of research into different boosters. Sure all seemed to be the way to. Mine is installed in a Sprinter van. I like the smaller aetenna compared to some RV models. I have been testing for about a month. Most places where it should work it does. My driveway for example. I can not make a call or even send a whatsapp. I can sometimes get a text out if I set it in the right place. When Surecall is on, I download 8 to 10 mega min and can stream YouTube no issue at all. I have a trailhead I go to often. Signal is 1 bar and Surecall doesn\'t seem to do anything? This is the exception it seems. Lastly, tech support. I have had questions a couple times. You call, 1 ring, and your talking to someone. Unheard of these days.
- Yes this products works. But the difference was so minimal the price is not worth it. Not by a LONG shot. My application: work remotely via hot spot on my phone to my laptop 5 days a week and traveling. Okay signal became good and good became excellent. But excellent overloaded signal was still overloaded and slow. Low signal was still low and slow. Limited network was still limited and incapable of internet. And of course it isnt magic, it cant creat signal where there is none. In other words, i use a MASSIVE file that i upload 10 times in one work day to my work shared drive; this file takes 5 seconds on McDonald\'s wifi alone (McD has the fastest internet i have seen so far!) My phone hotspot takes between 7-18min to upload (any longer and the server times out and it wont upload without corruption so i have to relocate to better signal if that happens). I had hoped this device would make crazy slow and low signal to minimal enough to upload and function, it did not. It only improved upload speed to 4-15 min; passed 15 would time out. So i returned the product because the 3ish min quicker speed was NOT worth $500. Not at all.
