Solar Power Bank, COSO Solar Charger 42800mAh Portable Charger Power Bank with Flashlight & Dual USB Ports External Battery Pack Fast Charge QC3.0 Solar Battery Charger 5V3.1A Power Bank, Orange
- Packaging: Everything about the packaging was recyclable except for the twist tie around the cord. Only possible downside is not recycled material.Build: this is a sturdy little gadget. There is a flap that clicks shut, concealingthe USB plug-ins, which is great if you are going to be hiking with this item, because dust will not get in.Design: This device is not only a charger, it is also a Compass and a flashlight, but I must be stupid because I cannot figure out how to get the flashlight to work, and I can’t find anything about it in the manual. There is a green light that comes on when the solar panel is activated and charging. There are also three blue lights that indicate the level of power the device contains.Application: Yesterday, I was amazed that this device could still charge my phone and just use the power of the sun shining through my window— it seemed to be relatively quick as well. Today, however, I plugged it into my iPad, using a charger cord of my own, and it said that it was working at first—itmade the Apple charging sound when I plugged it in. But when I walked up to her a couple of hours later, I saw that my iPad was at the same percentage, and although the cord was plugged in, it was no longer charging— and the solar power device was completely drained. So I’m not sure what happened—maybe it was because the cord I used was too long. I will still use this device with my phone, as it did just fine with that. I would love it if I could use the cord that came with the device, but it will not work with iPhones, so be prepared to use your own charging cord. I would recommend finding the shortest one possible so the energy has less distance to travel.
- If you\'re looking for a reliable and convenient way to charge your devices on-the-go, the COSO Solar Power Bank is definitely worth considering. This solar charger boasts a massive 42800mAh battery capacity that can keep your devices charged for days. One of the standout features of this power bank is its solar charging capability, which means you can charge it using nothing but the power of the sun. This is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts who spend a lot of time camping or hiking, as well as for those who live in areas prone to power outages. I should point out that charging with the solar panel does take a long time and if a devie is plugged in it does drain even quicker. The COSO Solar Power Bank also features two USB ports that allow you to charge two devices simultaneously. It also comes with a QC3.0 fast charging port that allows you to quickly charge compatible devices. The built-in flashlight is also a great feature, especially for those who enjoy outdoor activities at night or for emergency situations where you need a reliable source of light.Overall, the COSO Solar Power Bank is a high-quality and versatile portable charger that is perfect for anyone who needs a reliable source of power on-the-go. With its massive battery capacity, dual USB ports, fast charging capability, and solar charging capability, this power bank is a must-have for anyone who wants to stay connected and powered up no matter where they go.
- Great charger but be prepared to wait a significant amount of time if you are recharging it solely on sunlight rather than via the included USB cable. In an emergency, or absent a/c power, it will do the job well. This device holds a charge very well. The charger also has a built in LED flashlight with settings for High, Low, and for Flashing an SOS signal. Two quick presses of the light button (located on the side) will turn the light off. There are 3 USB ports. 2 USB Type A ports and one Micro-USB-B port. Although the limited documentation shows that the Micro-USB-B is an input for charging the unit, I\'ve found that it will also work as an output if you need it. Both of the units I have are from different sources and both lacked any meaningful documentation or user manual. A little experimentation was required, especially in trying to turn the light off. This charger is definitely worth the price and would make an excellent gift.
- I like that it’s small - I plan to attach this to the outside of my beach bag for some extra power incase my phone runs low while I’m listening to audio books by the shore. It arrived 95% charged and has a very short power cord with it, just incase you don’t have an extra laying around. It looks like it would be water resistant but NOT waterproof. The reason why I gave it four stars instead of five is because as soon as I clipped it on my beach bag, the carabiner that came with it broke. I didn’t even carry it out of the house! such a cheap accessory makes me wonder about the long term integrity of this solar charger.
- This solar charger will charge by plug in or solar. The plug in is much faster than solar though. I put the charger out in bright sunlight all day (probably around 10-12 hours) and it was about 3/4 fully charged by the end of the day. This is pretty typical with solar chargers of this type though and they are generally just used as a backup. Once fully charged they should charge a phone or similar device 2-3 times.
- This came fully charged and ready to use. For being as powerful as it is, it was surprisingly light. I like that it can charge 2 items at a time and with the 40,000+ battery size, I can charge my iPhone, iPad, and my husband\'s iPhone with some juice left over. I took off one star because the flashlight was weird. I finally got it to work but had to experiment to figure out the off/on/strobe. The directions were not very clear.
- When this arrived I charged it fully and plugged my phone into it and got a warning that the charge speed was very low. So while it may charge a phone it will take forever. I guess its good enough for an emergency.
