- This unit was not re-conditioned - it was new. The box had never been opened. Sets up exactly like the old 3G network extender, no problem getting satellite signal. However, it does not maintain a continuous signal to my Samsung S5 phone. When it connects, it has a nice strong signal. It just does not connect all the time. When the phone screen is dark, the connection goes away. So I still miss incoming calls. I can get it to connect manually by turning network data off and on. But since Verizon refuses to provide coverage in my suburban neighborhood, and they took away the 3G signal that ALWAYS gave my old network extender coverage, this will have to do.
- We have prepaid phones that use the Verizon network. If you buy this you cannot activate it as it needs a real Verizon account. If you have a friend who is willing to put this on their account you are good to go. That is what we did.I saw reviews that this will not work with Spectrum Internet. Spectrum does not block any ports - so I recommed checking the router or any firewall that is in place.Overall this is a good device - and you can even log into it to check how many connections are there.Would recommend it with the caveat that it needs to be activated on a Verizon account.

- Living in a rural area my Verizon signal is not the best. I bought a jet pack and it certainly made Wi-Fi calling much better. Eating up bits from the jet pack I decided to try to hook an extender to it. I spent a lot of time with Jerry in technical support. We tried everything humanly possible but there’s nothing we could do to make it work. Nothing wrong with the extender it’s just the jet pack will not work as a modem. I had absolutely no problem returning the product. I am very pleased with the customer service and technical support I received from them. I would have no problem purchasing another product from them they certainly kept their word.

- Something it doesn’t tell you prior to purchasing it from s that you need a view of the southern sky. We are in a suite in a high rise building that faces north so we got nothing.
