- During COVID-19, I am working in a home office with my wife; we sit about 4 feet from each other. We are both consistently on separate conference calls, and we are both somewhat loud on the phone. As such, I bought this headset to replace the mono-ear headset I was using previously. While I typically prefer over-the-ear vs on-the-ear for active noise cancelling (ANC), I was looking for a balance between cancelling out my wife on the phone in my ears, and hearing my wife when she wants to get my attention. This headset has significantly increased my ability to pay attention to my call when my wife is on a separate call at same time. She is not entirely cancelled out, but I can barely hear her. Others on my calls have told me before that they can hear my wife, but nobody has told me it is overpowering my voice, or that it is interfering with our conversation. I can hear everyone on my calls clearly, and they have all told me they can hear me clearly as well.I also like that I am able to use this headset with both my computer and work cell phone, so that I do not have to physically switch equipment when calls come in from multiple sources. I was using MS Skype on my work computer, but I have recently transitioned to MS Teams, and the headset continues to perform well. I am also connected to an iPhone for my work cell, and the headset also performs well for that device. This version of the headset did not come with a charging stand, but did come with a micro-USB cord. I am charging the headset nightly, and the I am able to use the headset for 4 - 5 hours of calls each day without further charge. Plantronics also has developed an app that can be downloaded to a cell phone, to control additional features of this headset. Another feature I like is that music playing from the cell phone is automatically paused when I take the headset off, and played again when I put the headset back on.The headset is comfortable for an on-the-ear headset. Again, using them off and on for 4 - 5 hours each day, my ears are not getting tired. Being able to rotate the ear pads slightly helps with ensuring a comfortable fit. I suspect that if I were to have this headset on for 4 - 5 hours straight, that my ears might become a bit tired, but I do not think it would become unbearable. The band stretching over the head also provides a pad for comfort, instead of being simply plastic or metal; I appreciate this.If I were to provide any constructive feedback, I would like to have seen the Mute function tied to the position of the boom mic, such that the headset automatically goes to mute when the boom is up, and off mute when the boom goes down (no extra button). Instead, this headset has a small button on the boom to turn the Mute function on/off; the headset also has an option to verbally let you know when the Mute function is turned on/off.Overall, I would definitely recommend this headset for use, especially when in close physical proximity to other people that could provide additional noise challenges.
- Bought this item used great condition great quality. Was worried would hurt my head. Headset is very comfortable and has great sound quality A++range is great as well.
- If you’re working from home, there’s NO REASON why you shouldn’t be cordless. I didn’t want to go with any ol headset so I looked around and around and these are great. I’m sure there’s a better pair out there, but I’m totally happy with what I got. The audio is clear. People can hear me clearly, I can hear them clearly. I can walk around my house (1,900 sq ft/single floor plan) with no problems, even step out in front and check the mail. Some reason when I go to the back yard, they start cutting out. It’s all good. Battery life is phenomenal. Love the app that comes with this set. Only thing I’d change is to have the ear pieces be sponge rather than .. faux leather? Ear gets sweaty. Not a big deal for me. It’s not that bad. Overall, happy.
- I ordered these headphones because I\'ve used other Plantronics headphones before and so far these are working really well. The only thing I wish is when I need to recharge using the wired USB link that it would allow me to talk on Teams/Zoom, etc. Maybe it\'s user error but using the wired option doesn\'t allow me to plugin and talk. I get up to about 9-10 hours of talk time being wireless and the range is great so that is awesome. Plus the headphones are light and comfy so overall I really like these so far.
- I purchased this headset to use for work. I had purchased a more expensive headset from another online retailer and this one is far superior in sound quality but lacks a little in comfort. One thing I do notice, and the reason for the four star rating, is it does get uncomfortable when you wear it for a long periods of time. I\'ve worn this for a 3 hour meeting and that is what I\'m gauging it on. Understand, it isn\'t uncomfortable to the point where it makes me want to take it off. It is just a sort of pressure on the ears that gets annoying after while. I think it has to do with the fact that the speaker portion of the headset presses up against your ears. There is padding but I don\'t think it\'s enough to keep the speaker portion off your ears. If you had a larger ear cup or the speaker portion was more inset, it might be better but then you could potentially give up some of the other benefits like being lightweight. I will say that if you ever have the option for a headset with one ear cup versus two, I would go for to the dual version. I found it distracting to have one ear covered and one ear open. YMMV. This headset reduces the background noise quite well and has good sound quality so if you purchase it, I don\'t think you will be sorry.
- This headset worked well for a while. Purchased this item in October 2021. Starting early 2022, I get feedback from people in my calls that they have a hard time hearing me because it sounds like I am on speaker (echoing) which I am not. Also somehow the noise cancelling feature stopped working, caller on the other end can hear a lot of background noise on my end. So long story short: works well for a while, then the feature I bought it for stop working, not even 6 months in. Quite disappointing since it is not cheap.
- They seem OK but did not work properly - had to return. This is the first time in over 10 years and over 100 orders that I\'ve ever had to return something to Amazon. Product kept dropping Bluetooth connection during virtual meetings which did not instill enough confidence to reorder the same item.... I\'ve since ordered the Jabra evolve2 65\'s - Fingers crossed they are better!
- I needed headphones/mic for my work from home job that don\'t make my head hurt. These do the job perfectly. They are lightweight. Don\'t pinch. Padded ear pieces. Mic is effective. Bluetooth connects to my computer (works pretty seamlessly with MS Teams, WebEx, Zoom), and to my cell phone. Reasonable price point. I don\'t use the noise cancelation much, as I work in a relatively quiet environment.
