- I love the fact that it includes 6 different earpieces and the design is beautiful. My only complaint is as follows:1. The leather case for the buds is great but the one string isn\'t enough to hold it closed. It would be better to have a button or something else to secure it better.2. The buds are a bit heavy, and I LOVE it. the only issue is that, as a singer, I have to take them off and walk until the service starts and by the time I have to go up the buds are dangling almost to my stomach, I could just have them on my ear unplugged but I\'m just used to taking them off and having them dangle up front.Apart from that 10/10 would recommend. I hear my voice clearly and that\'s what\'s important to me.
- I don\'t usually write product reviews, but I wanted to talk a little about where I was coming from before purchasing these IEMs in case it helps others. These are my personal opinions (and ears!), so your own mileage may vary. The quick version is that I believe the ikko OH10s are outstanding for their price.I\'ve owned Sennheiser HD650s since their release and use them (properly amped) on a daily basis. My IEMs of choice, after going through many different ones available at the time, have been some wooden, dynamic driver JVC HP-FX500 Victors I imported from Japan around a decade ago. I would describe both as warm, though the JVCs are more U-shaped.Though there is plenty of information on HD650s as a potential frame of reference, the FX500s are a bit lesser-known. I mainly fell in love with them due to their excellent low end with a proper seal--at the time, many IEMs I tried were lacking in this department, either in quantity or quality. I also feel like they handle stringed instruments incredibly well. Unfortunately, there\'s one major tradeoff I\'ve had to deal with: their handling of certain upper frequencies is just a bit too much for me. Because of this, I\'d avoid certain songs and audio content whenever I suspected I\'d run into treble/sibilance problems. Now, I haven\'t been keeping up with the industry over the past ten years so I can only speak from the perspective of these two other headphones, but I really, really like the OH10s! If this is an example of where we are at with IEM technology now, then it\'s a great time for everyone! The OH10s have tight, deep bass that\'s boosted with enough quantity to keep me happy as someone who prefers a solid low end. The FX500s have ever-so-slightly more quantity, though the detail, attack, and sub-bass extension are better on the OH10s. I would say the HD650s provide a more comparable bass experience to the OH10s than the FX500s, though it\'s not quite 1:1 (the HD650s may bump the mid-bass up a tad more). There\'s also the difference in isolation that may cause the OH10s shine more with sub-bass.The mids and highs are where the OH10s almost completely diverge from the others, and in the best ways possible IMO. Where HD650s are known for their smooth, laid-back, and even forgiving qualities, the OH10s are transparent to the point of being revealing. Mids are far more forward than on the FX500s and even the HD650s, and they sound amazing. Likewise, highs definitely make their presence known compared to the HD650s, but they don\'t veer into uncomfortable territory like the FX500s. Finally, I can listen to anything! The boost to detail may be a drawback for those who often listen to poorly-mastered or lower bitrate audio, but I wouldn\'t describe the OH10s as clinical at all.Actually, the thing about the OH10s that I didn\'t expect at all was their imaging. I don\'t know if it\'s the forwardness of the whole spectrum being represented in combination with great clarity or what, but instrument separation and soundstage are such a fun surprise on the OH10s. Where everything sort of just pleasantly works together on the HD650s, the OH10s really pull things apart. It\'s night and day. Things I never really noticed before jump out at me on the OH10s. I can go back to the HD650s and hear them if I\'m looking for them, but it\'s just not the same. Really impressive!I\'m actually kind of questioning my HD650s now because I prefer the OH10s to both of these headphones after only a few days. The only thing I\'m still getting used to is their fit. The OH10s are large and heavy, and they have to be inserted very specifically with my personal ear shape or I\'ll end up with an earache after several hours. But, honestly, even if I never adjust, their sound is just so good that it\'s worth it to me. If you have similar sound preferences, I think these are a great option.EDIT: 7/1/20 - Changed rating to 4/5 stars down from my original 5/5!Though everything I\'ve said remains true (and I\'ve since grown more accustomed to their fit), I do have to mention that my pair has started to bubble in their clear outer layer and eventually flake off in a few places (like on the bottom where they rest on my ears). I\'m not sure what causes this--it was the right one first, and now the left side is starting to do the same.It\'s not a dealbreaker, but it\'s unfortunate considering how good they are otherwise. So YMMV.
