• I can’t even begin to tell you how many Bluetooth speakers I’ve owned over the years. (or the insane amount of money I spent on headphones back in the day when everything had a headphone jack, shout out to the Grado SR 225, best headphones I ever heard)I’ve owned every speaker brand from Sony, Bose, Phillips, HK… But my obsession with JBL all started thanks to the UE Wonderboom3 and the fact that it didn’t have a USB-C charger. I owned the wonder boom2 and loved it but that damn micro USB was always such a hindrance. So I decided to look for other Bluetooth speakers in that range with a USB-C charger.And that’s when I bought my first JBL speaker, it was the flip 5; I couldn’t get over how good it sounded, and how big of a sound came from that little speaker. From there I bought the Xtreme 3 and the Party box 300. Then I decided to sell my flip 5 and replace it with the charge 5.Then $h*t got real.. on prime day, Amazon had the JBL Boombox 2 on sale for $300. My neighbor at the cottage has one, and I couldn’t pass it up. And now it felt silly to have the Xtreme 3, the Charge 5 and the Boombox 2. So I had a crazy idea… Sell the Xtreme 3 and the party box 300, and buy the party box 710. This way I have the Charge 5 for a quick on-the-go small gatherings, I can use the Boombox 2 at the cottage with its crazy battery life and now the 710 is the best House Speaker I could ever ask for.I was hesitant buying refurbished… So I called JBL myself and talked to them about what went into refurbishing the speakers. Essentially, these are new. Once the speakers get to their warehouse, they do a quality control check, and if there’s anything wrong with that at all… It could be a simple scratch, it could be a bad light, it could be something more serious like a bad speaker. At that point it gets sent back to their production house where it gets fixed and is basically brand new, but they cannot sell it as brand new. They do warranty these as if they were new for one year, and Amazon warranties them for 90 days. That put my mind at ease to give it a shot.I loved my party box 300, it got plenty loud and I never thought I would need anything louder… But the 710 literally puts it to shame in every way. Of course the big difference is the 710 does not have a battery, but at 800 watts, that would have to be one hell of a battery.For the $200 price difference between new and refurbished… I would say, give this a shot, I am more than happy with my decision. I bought mine from Sound Distributors Inc.
• so usually when you have a big speaker the bass either over takes the sound so you can’t hear the words or the bass isn’t loud enough. The quality is absolutely impeccable! the sound is clear the bass is bumping it’s perfect. i’m on five acres of land and you can hear that all the way down at the end of my property! definitely a great purchase!
• Great speaker! We sold our PA system but still wanted loud music for parties. This will be perfect. Easier to get around and still get the party started. Refurbished speaker was like new!

• Just to make sure that this is all hugely me to blame. It does make this old statement ring true, do not assume anything. I have to purchase all kinds of things on a daily basis for my company, and getting speakers is one of many. So i saw the JBL advert on the partyline speakers and thought it was wonderful, seems like great portability and freedom of wires. Very important. So i decided to get the entire line just in case of the venue size. To make this short lets go with s,m,l. THe s did not have handles or wheels , which makes life difficult and me unhappy. The M was sold out and the L was not so portable and either mine can\'t hold a charge or its AC only which means wire running on the ground which cannot do. I called JBL to understand why is this so, and the word philosophy was skewed towards the Marketing directors flamboyancy just a little. Also found out i was not the target audience , no surprise there. So the s goes back , and the LG well it might just stay in the SUV and blast my kids to smithereens HAH! On the brighter side if all you wanna do is to boom, boom and zoom zoom this might be the last speaker youll ever need. Kudos JBL you got my time.BTW its not that im against reading literature of products , but usually mass produced lines have very similar qualities and only the flagship model stands above the rest. This is almost a manufacturer\'s credo for QC and output.
• Great sound quality out of this speaker from the mids to highs and very strong low bass and doesn’t distort even up to full volume. Priced very reasonable compared to buying new from Best Buy.
• Got a noise complaint same day I got it on the lowest volume I could possible get. 10/10 would recomend.
