Marshall Tufton Bluetooth Speaker, Black & Brass
- Nice big sound. Super battery life. The problem is that midrange is woefully missing with no way to adjust it. All you get is a volume, bass and treble knob. Hoping to find some wireless, Bluetooth EQ app or software that I can insert into the to tweak the sound a little better. Also music from my library sounds marginally better than streaming on Pandora or SXM.
- Very hesitant to drop $400 on a speaker considering every one I\'ve ever bought was a disappointment. But this bad boy paid off! The sound is just brilliant, unlike anything I\'ve ever heard. So clean, so rich, so awesome. We were using it at a party last weekend and they had to switch to another speaker when I took the Marshall to another area. My brother told me later that people started complaining about the sound almost immediately! Pull the trigger man, you will not be disappointed!
- First- let me acknowledge for all potential buyers. The Marshall Tufton is made to be played at high volumes. It’s a specific use speaker.Placed by a wall or corner makes this speaker sound much bigger than it is. I am still impressed with the Tufton’s thumping bass signature. With that said….The Tufton -even with its very impressive bass signature and quality build -lacks extremely noticeable important features!!!The Tufton is perfect for outdoor use -such as small backyard gatherings, perhaps the beach (if noise isn’t a concern) tailgating, or yes, even a nice basement or living room party!. However….Damn Marshall!!! Why would they NOT include an app to control EQ levels especially due to the very low midrange (so you actually can hear vocals in the music you’re playing), the ability to connect another Tufton, an XLR connection, or the ability to DISCONNECT other Bluetooth devices from the speaker that you’ve allowed to be paired.*yes, multiple devices (ie smartphones) can connect to the Tufton. However, if the person(s) that was allowed to connect to the Tufton- does not switch off their Bluetooth entirely when giving control back to the host /owner again -their connection stays LIVE-and will keep interrupting the host source of play. Very annoying :(Here’s what would IMPROVE the Marshall Tufton exponentially….Marshall: please add the ability to connect to another Tufton. How’d they even gloss over this?Marshall: please add an XLR connection. (Not important for my use but for other consumers)Marshall: it’s ridiculous that Marshall didn’t include an app so that we-the consumer could control the EQ sound quality due to the different EQ levels of the music being played!!! How music is produced affects what you actually hear! And my personal wish-a Marshall Tufton carrying case. Yes, I bought a cheap backpack that works. However, some consumers like to accessorize certain products and the Marshall Tufton is one!I can’t give this speaker flying colors because it disrespectfully lacks obvious features that would make the Tufton a hands down first choice portable speaker. But it’s a very high quality speaker and well built.I hope readers of this review appreciate the insights as they-like me-research everything to death. I put this speaker through its paces at the beach, on cruise ship, a picnic, and my living room! The Marshall a Tufton is good but not great. But I truly can be!
- Speakers is great,it’s just missing cable line.
