Movo Wireless Smartphone Video Kit V2+ with Tripod, Grip, Wireless Lavalier Microphone, LED Light and Remote - YouTube Equipment for iPhone 6, 6S, 7, 8, X, XS, XS Max, XR, 11, 11 Pro, Samsung Galaxy
- I am rebuilding our website and the younger members of our company, and my grand kids, encouraged me to impart my years of wisdom in video format on the website and on a blog. I\'m not sure anybody else is going to think there\'s any wisdom or give a moments notice to the videos. However, I decided to give it a shot but I needed the equipment.I purchased this set up because it allowed me to use my iPhone, it offered a remote activator to start and stop the videos, and provided a remote microphone, it all attached to one supporting system, and it was very well priced. Yes I was more than a little skeptical about whether or not it would be worth it. Some of the reviews said the equipment was junk and other reviews said you couldn\'t count on it, but most of the reviews are highly complementary. The equipment arrived last evening and I took it all out of its boxes and realized it was all very well made. Then I looked at the directions and found them easy to read and easy to follow. Having said that the manufacturer might take another look at some of those steps because I am used to dealing with directions, but not everybody would find them that understandable. After reviewing all of the equipment that was provided my first concern was that there was no way to hook the remote transmitter up to my iPhone because there was no attachment cord. That was easily fixed by an adapter for iPhone that I already had in my collection of cords. This morning I hooked up the entire system, took it outside and did a video using the remote microphone and remote activator switch. My first video was better than the one I had done by a videographer who came to my office. I was able to control start and stop, I was able to see myself on the screen of my telephone, and I didn\'t have anybody standing around telling me what to do. (You\'re right, sometimes I don\'t take well to critical direction)I think we can all agree I\'ve only had it for less than 24 hours and everything is brand-new. The real test will be after I\'ve used it for come sometime and find out how it holds up over considerable use. I plan to use it in the office and outside so it\'s going to see considerable action. In regard to comments I will include the following. It uses AA batteries for the remote transmitter and receiver. Clearly it\'s going to be a good idea to have those along with you as I have no idea how long it will last. I also do not know if it will use rechargeable batteries. The little windscreen on the remote microphone was lost within the first 15 minutes. I did not realize it was gone until I started putting equipment away. I ordered an entire box of these today on Amazon. The knurled attachment knobs on most of the equipment are very small and difficult to get tight if you have fingers larger than a five-year-old. I am able to do it but the first time I used the equipment the remote transmitter fell off because I have not been able to get it tight enough. I may throw a tiny pair of vise grips in my bag just so I can make sure they\'re tight. In the end every piece of this set up is made of quality materials and provides a professional image. I will probably update this is a later date but at this point I would unequivocally recommend this to anybody starting out doing video and blogging and then build up to something more expensive when you know more about what you will need.
- Customer Service, both Movo & Amazon. And of course the quality of the item TY Amazon and Movo
- In theory this should have worked great for what I needed it for. I\'m not sure how this can be used efficiently without having to constantly readjust the stand. The stand is completely unstable and the attachment to elongate the neck doesn\'t work well at all. I would say that it was a faulty stand, but this is the 2nd one with the same exact problem. For the price I paid I would certainly expect more and would not recommend waisting your time, money or energy with this product. Find something of better quality even if you have to pay a little more.
- my kids love it. nice product
- It is hard to put together and I have yet to get the audio to work well. Can’t be assembled quickly. Mic sounds metallic. I expected better quality at this price.
- The microphone sound quality is absolutely terrible. And I was not looking for high quality sound; this is below standard and you are better off using your phone as a microphone. It is extremely distorted and cheap. The LED light NEEDS a cable plugged into it in order to power on, which it very misleading in the picture because that wire is not shown. It turns out this wire is about 6 inches. To give you an idea of how ridiculously short this is, think about having a phone charger that is six inches long and your phone needed to be plugged-in in order to work! Not imagine you have to shoot a video with your phone plugged in! Not a convienient design what so ever. But I guess that\'s why they left the cable out of the picture! Thanks a lot!
- This product works well
- I bought this setup for a video project, and everything worked really well - a great, cost effective solution for making good, high quality videos.
