Plantronics CS50 900 MHz Wireless Office Headset System (Discontinued by Manufacturer)
- I took one start off, because I think that these headsets should be ~100 or less for what we are getting, and this one was the best deal that I could find! The plastic housing on the charger unit could be sturdier f they are going to charge consumers these prices for must haves items like this. That being said, this is my first day using it and I have a 12 hour conference call at work, so I may edit my review later. I am impressed so far. The setup was super easy. I plugged it into my VoIP phone and away I went! There was something in the description about \"USB,\" but this unit is hooks up to the phones headset port via a regular old telephone jacks input. There is not USB on this model. The company does make a USB model, but this is not it. I called Amazon to confirm that before I ordered it and the rep looked it up for me, he was very helpful.I am using the mute feature now, and I like how it beeps every so often to remind me that I am muted. I can go about my business here without the person on the other end hearing everything that I do, but I can still hear what is being said on the other end.Overall I would say if you are on the phone all day, or work from home like I do, get one!
- I\'m on and off the phone all day. I\'m on hold a lot. This headset allows me to move away from the base easily. It has good range and clear sound. Sometimes there is an echo but that my be the phone and not the headset. My neck doesn\'t hurt by the end of the day from holding a phone on my shoulder. On the negative side I frequently have 12 hour days and the battery lasts about 10 hours. My other complaint is that I have a large head and the over the head holder doesn\'t stay on. I\'ve also tried several of the over the ear pieces and have not found the perfect fit yet.
- Would have been helpful to know that this doesnt work without the handset lifter. You push a button at your ear to access the phone line but unless the handset is off the hook, you dont get access. So your choices are to take it off the hook each time (which makes it not so wireless) or get the handset lifter as well that lifts the handset for you. Other than that i am very happy with the product. It has good reception, I can hear well and it has a nice range so you dont have to be on top of your phone for the handset lifter to lift the handset.
- This is a very nice nice headset. We are using it with Cisco 7960 ip telephones. If you want to be able to answer and end calls from the headset, you will need the handset lifter along with the headset. The battery life is pretty close to what is advertised and the range is about 200ft inside a concrete and steel building. I would recommend it to anyone who has a large call volume and reception staff with other things to do besides sitting at their desks. Productivity at our reception area has increased because of this purchase, which offsets the high cost for me.
- This was actually as described and I do love it. I only gave it a \"4\" instead of a five because when the back cord is not stretched clear of the phone, static enters the line. I just separate the device from the desk phone and problem solved. This is a WONDERFUL product and when this one goes out, I will buy another. My first one lasted for about 8 years. Very worth the price. It was shipped quickly and everything was very smooth! Thank you
- I am on the phone constantly and was so sick of either holding the phone between my shoulder and my ear, or having to use my speakerphone (which drove my co-workers crazy). I finally broke down an paid my own money to buy this wireless headset because one of my co-workers has one and loves it. I must say that it was a bit pricey, but worth every penny. It takes just a little time to get used to exactly how the \"major\" and \"minor\" adjustments work for the hearing and microphone volumes, but by about the 3rd use I had it down. I use the molded earloop (not the headband) because I have really cool spiked hair and I don\'t want to mess it up. By the way, I am a 55 year old female banker -- so even \"mature\" professionals can:(1)have cool hair, and (2) learn how to use great technology. Anyway, it took me a couple of days to figure out which size earloop was the most comfortable, but now I just can\'t imagine working without this great product.
- In the product description they clearly state \"While away from the main station, it only takes one button to answer or end a call.\" What they don\'t tell you is that you will need to purchase a handset lifter that costs $52.59 to be able to answer the call with one button while away from the main station. I was careful to purchase a headset with this remote answering capability and read the description very carefully to make sure that the headset I was buyin had this feature! They need to change the desciption.BTW, I love the headset but would have purchased same brand with with remote lifter in box.
- This was actually the 2nd headset we\'ve purchased for our office- I was so pleased with mine that we decided to get one for my boss as well. The wireless capability is especially great when you work in a small office where you often have to multi-task to get many things done. I can walk out to the mail box in front of the building, walk into another office to use the larger copier/fax/printer, etc. Make coffee or lunch in the kitchen, open the warehouse door for delivery, check things in my boss\'s office for him while he is working from the road, all without putting a caller on hold or having to hang up. I can even take my puppy outside to potty without having to get off the phone, and with the headset lifter (in my opinion these two products should never be sold separately, as the headset lifter is an absolutely necessary accessory!!) I can answer calls or end them from anywhere in the building, or outside. I can\'t believe I ever lived without it.
