Jabra Engage 75 Wireless Headset, Convertible – Telephone Headset with Industry-Leading Wireless Performance, Advanced Noise-Cancelling Microphone, Call Center Headset with All Day Battery Life
- I researched several devices and ultimately landed on this one. I\'m sorry to say that I\'m disappointed.Pros:Convertible wearing style - over the head headsets irritate my scalp so I prefer in-ear or ear-hook style headsets. This one fits the bill and is a low profile. It seems super comfortable at first but was a little painful by the end of the day. The ear-hook is adjustable, so I\'m sure it\'s just a matter of making the right adjustments for comfort. The device also comes with a headband and a behind the head / neck band. The behind-the-head / neck band seems comfortable as well - though admittedly, i only tried it on for curiosity rather than actual use.Sound quality - Sound quality is excellent. Not only do callers say I sound great, but background noise is significantly reduced. The improved quality was noticeable to at least one caller I speak to on a regular basis.Softphone controls - Works well with Microsoft Teams and my Iphone. I am finally able to answer, end and mute my Teams calls with my headset. For Zoom calls, the mute button didn\'t seem to work. However, I haven\'t tried adjusting settings yet.Charging Base - very easy to set up. It\'s nice that you can set the base to ring when a call comes in. There are also answer & end buttons and a battery life indicator. You can choose from a few additional options: display time (24 or 12 hour format), upload a picture, upload an image, or display nothing when idle.Set up - Very easy to set up with clear instructions. It was easy to connect to my PC.Range - For my purposes, the range is excellent. I work from home and was previously unable to maintain a connection if i walked to my kitchen with my previous headset. This headset not only keeps the connection, but the sound quality remains excellent.Bluetooth / Mobile device - Pairing is simple. Sound quality is excellent. Device settings to adjust call priority means that my Teams call doesn\'t get put on hold because i have a call ringing through on my cell phone.Headset busylight - Works as advertised and can be turned on/off for personal preference. Would be more effective if I wore the headset on my left ear as that is the side that faces the door to my office where my family would be able to see it. As I wear my headset on the right, it\'s only visible to my family when I\'m out of my office walking around. Very helpful if I can effectively train them to check the light before trying to strike up a conversation. (I really wish there was a device that had the same range as this that could connect to my computer wirelessly. would give a great deal more functionality for alerting family to availability when working from home)Ring Tones - you can select preferred ringtone from a pre-set list or (Bonus Feature) you can upload your own ringtone.Con:Talk time - I had 3 main criteria for headset selection: range, talk-time, wearing style. With a stated talk-time of 9 hours, and reviews suggesting 7 hours, this device should have been an improvement over my previous headset by a couple of hours. That has not been my experience. The headset dies with less than 5 hours of talk-time when fully charged. On this critical item, I am very disappointed.Note: There is an option to use as a wired audio device. Call controls and busy light functions are not supported.Overall:If you do not need to be on calls all day long, or have sufficient windows of time to recharge the headset in the middle of the day, this would be an excellent choice for you. If however, you need all day talk time, you may want to look for another device.
- So, after trying a lesser expensive headset i had a lot of complaints of statis, breaking up, & inability to hear me. Tried this device which originally was dramatically better. Now, however, after about 3 weeks, those same complaints are starting. I am using on a laptop on Jabra with Finesse. The mic is at 100%.The headset is not comfortable. The earpiece is very uncomfortable, but gets better over time. Several times, sitting at the desk, i get a message \"out of range.\" Not sure what that\'s about. Not sure what else to try. I hate to return another device. I just want something comfortable rhat works well on bith sides of the call.
- Edit: I’ve been using this headset for 4-8 hours a day for 6 months and nothing to add to my review, still awesome, no issues. Would definitely buy again.I searched high and low for a good headset that also connects to my cell phone and this is it. I am giving 5 stars to even out all of the low reviews because it sounds like if you\'re using applications that work well with it, you have a good time. I think those issues are more attributed to the applications than the headset but...?For reference, my great experience with this headset exist along with: 3CX, Zoom, Teams, WebEx, FirefoxI have not run into issues with an application yet.Pros (not exhaustive):-Connects to mobile via bluetooth!!-Sound quality is great-Physical mute button!! (My old headset had a tap to mute that caused issues I don\'t think I need to explain.)-Voice notification that I hit mute-Integrates well with a lot of my applications. Mutual mute (I mute in app and the icon on the headset base turns red). 3CX, Zoom, Teams-Setup is super simpleCons:-The mic is short and kind of sensitive to direction, so if I have it pointed up a little or it\'s too far back on my head, nobody can hear me.-It is ungodly uncomfortable for a while. I\'ve gotten used to it so I barely feel it until I think about it.
- I got this headset as a replacement to my GN9350 which has served me well for nearly a decade, but finally died.First thing - range is terrible. It is rated to 300 ft but I start sounding choppy after 35 feet in a small apartment. I can\'t even walk into the kitchen. My 9350 I could go to my car and still have signal! That was enough to make me want to return it, but what really sealed the deal was...comfort - terrible. Mind you I can tolerate a lot. I actually haven\'t had a foam piece on my 9350 for at least the last 4 years but it never really bothered me. But the 75 was awful. Very uncomfortable even after a short period of time. I\'m an IT contractor and benefits agent and I need to be on the phone for sometimes as long as 12 hours. So all that said, I\'m returning. I looked into alternatives and found the Plantronics headset that\'s similar so I\'m going to try that.
- Great product but I find it hard to hear out of the earpiece unless the volume is at the highest setting.( using headband) I feel they could have done better! FYI these may work for others who like the sound low
- It had a simple setup. The prompts guided you right through the pairing and each connected device very well. As a bonus, it added great clarity to the DragonSpeak dictation quality since the microphone is such high quality and noise canceling. I would buy again for sure. I haven\'t had it long enough to assess battery life over the long term but it lasted the work day today. Reception range was at least 100\' of walls and doors but I\'ll have to test it further for limits. The CEO of our small firm saw my rig and I bet he/we will all have one soon. Cheers, JT
