Moondrop STELLARIS Earphones High-Precision Miniature Grid Magnet Array 14.5mm Planar Driver Earphones with 0.78MM 2Pin Cable
- Make sure this fits by entering your model number.
- The fully symmetrical magnetic circuit is composed of 7+7 N52H magnets, precisely arrayed during mold assembly, delivering lower harmonic distortion and higher magnetic circuit efficiency, and producing a maximum magnetic flux at the magnetic gap close to 1 Tesla, resulting in clearer sound quality.
- The driver of the STELLARIS utilizes a sub-nanometer diaphragm with a thickness of 1um, stretched tightly on the bracket at uniform tension. The vibration of the diaphragm generates ampere power to drive vibration and sound through a snake-shaped etched circuit with an accuracy of up to 2um and a magnetic field parallel to the diaphragm. This high-precision, ultra-thin, uniformly stressed diaphragm structure can deliver lower split vibration and nonlinear distortion in the vibration process, and generate a more transparent and melodious timbre with clearer details.
- The shell of the STELLARIS adopts the same iridescent finish as the Starfield, reflecting different colors under varying angles and light conditions. The golden hand-painted pattern is emblematic of the starry theme of STELL ARIS.
- U.C. Ear-tips (Ultra Clear Tip), newly developed by Softears, are made of high-permeabilit liquid silicone. Based on ergonomic design, they fit far more snuggly in the ear canal than ordinary silicone ear-tips, ensuring lossless sound quality of bass under pressure, improved bass performance without any bleeding into the treble, and all-round improvement.
- Relying on the excellent nonlinear distortion of the 14.5mm driver and the time-proven acoustic tuning of the shell, STELLARIS has an excellent acoustic performance index that lifts it above most planar in-ear headphones. The performance is not only comparable to flagship dynamic driver earphones in terms of nonlinear distortion, but also has a frequency response performance that is highly consistent with the VDSF Target Response based on HRTF and optimized for listening characteristics. The result is more accurate sound reproduction with richer, more natural details.

- I\'ve just received and have been listening to the Stellaris for three-fours. Youtube videos sound very normal.I\'ve sampled some of my favorite songs using Foobar player on my PC, over a topping headphone amp. Female jazz vocals, ballads sound incredible. Old school pop and rock is very listenable. The EDM tracks from KPOP is solid. The little bit of Jazz and classical was pretty amazing. I especially impressed by classical piano and guitar playback. Rock, Jazz, Blues guitar sounded really good to me. Jimi Hendrix guitar was amazing. A small sample of male vocals sounded pretty decent as well.I have a collection of high res albums from HDTracks for favorite artists. The few titles I check were very clean, open and you can hear the differences from A CD rip. To be fair, most of the high res has been newly remastered with higher production values than the original CDs I had collected in the 80s and 90s.I was disappointed after listening to Mike Oldfield\'s Tubular Bells. The Stellaris could not do justice to he section of part 1, where all the different instrument start to get layered in. There was too much going and the Stellaris could not keep up.In general, the Stellaris plays everything I like to listen to without issue. Jazz and classical are special treat,The Stellaris have nice detail, a spacious and airy soundstage that competes well with some of my headphones. The Stellaris has a smooth balanced sound signature, a bit on the bright side. The bass is present, but not overly emphasized. The bass is not feel super extended. On the high end there was a sharpness on a track or two that was bothersome. Mids are really sweet.Youtube source music was kind of hard to listen to, Some stuff sounded harsher than with other earphones. This is all from an afternoon\'s listening session. YMMV!Edit: These in ears are the heaviest I\'ve ever worn, but they are well supported by the ear loop on the included cable. Also, I use a snug fitting ear tip that helps to keep the earphone in place. They are also pretty large.Edit: For me, I find these IEMs need a lot ot power. On my headphone amp, Topping DX3 Pro+, i\'m dialed up 80-85% of the volume dial. The DX3 is not a high power head amp, but this might ba a case where the earphones have left them in the dust.
- I bought extras. I like them and use them daily. The two sets of tips that come with this iem are amazing.
- Everything is good except found them uncomfortable after a few songsBut sound quality is excellent!!
- Sound stage is in the mediums. Imaging is good, vocals sound clear and crisp and some low end bass is present. The bass is not overdone but it’s more than the mangird tea which I normally use. Lastly, the vocals are a little recessed compared to the mangird teas but those are known to have a forward presentation. After listening to these more, it has a huge overemphasis and harshness for some mid to high frequency sounds. The song ‘no fun’ by lane 8 is where it really stood out to me the most. There’s a slight rattle sound added to the track (at 1:47 and persists for a while after) which is very pleasant when listening with any other device. With these, that rattle is very harsh and overemphasized and dominates the song and makes it unlistenable. It’s hard to explain but most music just sounds ‘wrong’ on these and not similar to any other IEM or speakers I’ve triedThey\'re HEAVY. they cause discomfort in my ears from how heavy they are and how much they sag. These will sit in my desk at work in case I forget my other IEMS, and they will work very well for that. I find that if I wear these for multiple days in a row, they hurt my ears too much and the pain from one day is additive and makes it harder to wear them the next day. The IEM cable does not support the weight of the IEM at all. Only your ear canal holds these in placeOverall these are not good for the price and I wouldn\'t get them again because of their fit and how heavy they are.
- The sound of these are great as the online reviewers stated. They are large and took some days to get used to the ear fit. I was sad that they were NOT reliable. The right side went quiet after 10 days of round the clock usage. Swapped channels and tried another working cable and switched left and right sides....exhausting all possibilities. ....then started working after sitting in the box for 3 days. Then 4th day 100% failed the right side. Sent them back for refund to amzn account. Moondrop Stellaris...shame.
- Good
- Treble is piercing and they are not very comfortable.
- Personally, I\'m not going to buy any more expensive earphones! This pair sounds absolutely great. I\'ve watched a few reviews on youtube which praise them, but, of course, highlight some issues. Let me tell you, if you\'re listening on great gear, there\'s nothing a little eq tweeking won\'t fix. I own many earphones including Shure 845 and Sony IER-Z1R.
