- These are very good for those hard of hearing. The earbud ones you just have to make sure to press them down all the way to charge them. The headphone ones are great but wish they were cradle charge or USB-C instead of micro. I purchased these for my father and he loves them but has a little difficulty with charger cable. Would still recommend them for anyone who has trouble hearing dialogue on tv.
- My mom has gone through 3 sets of the \"TV ears\" brand ampliphiers. They tend to last about 1 year and then break. We gave her this set for Christmas and she LOVES it! She says it is much better than the TV ears, really likes that it has an auto shut-off option (because she tends to forget to turn them off and then battery would otherwise run out.) Plus, having the headphone and earphone options give her the flexibility to use them with or without her hearing aides (she had to remove her hearing aids to use TV Ears. Great value for the money and compatible with just about any TV, no matter how old.
- My wife hates the in ear, headphones and my 75 YO father hates the size of the over the head headphones so this has turned out to be the best of both worlds! We use it while underway on our boat and there is lots of engine noise. Wife can watch movies without annoying us as we drive the boat. Then once on anchor or in a Marina my father can listen to TV without us having to blare the volume. Had looked at buying TV Ears that my neighbors use but this setup turned out to be so much better. My only complaint is integration with most TV\'s or sound systems doesn\'t support Dolby Surround sound so you have to turn it off to use the head phones which SUX IMO. I would like to listen in surround sound while having the additional amplification for whomever is using the headphones.
- Great product for my hard of hearing father. It let’s him have the sound turned up on TV, while allowing the rest of those in the room to listen at a reasonable sound level. He preferred the over the ears headset, but both worked great. Customer service is awesome! The headset broke (one of the plastic pieces cracked) and I emailed support to see if it was covered under warranty. They emailed back within just a few hours and by the end of the week I had a new, free set of earphones in hand!
- I love this set and it sounds great. However, the over the ears headset broke after six months. Too late to return and I am unable to fix . I am hoping the seller will send me a replacement headset.
- When it was given as a gift, I received the base unit and one white headset and 2 batteries, which was fine, however I have attempted to order a second white under the chin head set, but appraently it is not available, you have to order a complete set of 1 base, 1 under the chin headset, but no under the chin headset by itself. But the base has 2 docking spaces, but oh well, you cannot order a second headset by itself.
- For the money it’s a good unit. Easy setup
- I was giving up hearing TV, raised the volume and the distortion just go worse, as soon as I put headset on TV again, set up was easy I am 79 with some vision loss - very easy and working in no time I now can watch movies and really enjoy them and my TV
