- I this cable plugged in to the startech usb 3 10gps hub and usb 3.2 10gps port on a MSI Z490 motherboard. I have verified that my Logitech Brio 4k webcam is running at full 4k@30fps/1080@60fps in OBS and LG G-hub.The cable is thic and difficult to work with but this shouldn\'t be something that you plug/unplug daily.For many years I\'ve been trying to find ways to get as many heat generating components out of rooms that I occupy. In Texas having to have an AC unit is common, but I\'d rather not be that neighbor, plus I have to turn up the TV when the window unit is running. About 2 years ago I started seeing youtube videos where people used optical cables to put their computers, and other components I started searching around(LTT my computer is everywhere). For the longest time all I could find was thunderbolt($1k+), or questionable cable manufacturers. While no name manufacturers can be fine this is a product that was still pricey and I wanted something that a known manufacturer would put their name on. Then I stumbled across this cable by Eaton/Tripp Lite. I did my research and got this specific cable because it works with ALL usb protocols, many of their cables will only do usb 2 or 3. I thought ahead and paired this with a startech usb 3 10gps 4 port hub, say what you want about startech but their stuff is usually very good(and very expensive).I will try to update this after I run the cable in a more permanent location.
