Bose SoundLink Bluetooth Speaker III Charging Cradle

  • I feel bad giving it only 4 stars because I like the speaker itself, but I should have only had to use one brain cell (not two) to figure out how this works. The multilingual instructions tell you nothing, and so I didn\'t know at first where to plug the cord in. When I couldn\'t find the where the plug goes on the cradle, I just sat the speaker on the cradle. Of course, it did nothing. Then I recruited the second brain cell and saw it hidden in the cut out. Secondly, I thought the cord would be included (they could have at least added that, given the price). I agree with someone above who suggested it should have come with the speaker like the mini Soundlink product does.It IS nice not to have to plug and unplug it, though.
  • the sound
  • Compensate for Bose\'s annoying proprietary charging plug with a super convenient alternative to so your speaker is always charged and within use.Pros:- Doesn\'t come with extra cables, reuses the one that comes with the speaker- Very easy to fit speaker on stand- Cables comes out of stand at a flush angle- Compatible with the Bose speaker skin (don\'t have to remove it)Cons:- Sold Separately. At the price, would be nice if it came with the speakerNormally you leave the cable (and speaker) in storage since the cable comes out of the speaker at an awkward angle. This means you\'ll be less inclined to grab and use the speaker, and there\'s a good chance it won\'t be completely charged. I bought the stand so I can keep the speaker on the night stand for use before going to bed, but I can also grab it and go and will trust that it\'s always full charge.
  • What a great product. I am a fan of docking my tech and this is a great product to add to the collection. I love my Bose sound link 3 and normally keep it on my nightstand by my bed. Only thing that was killing me was the fact that every time i was done charging my SoundLink the cable would fall behind the nightstand. Decided to check out the charging dock a friend recommended and I did just that. Its sleek simple and no more cables falling behind my nightstand. I believe it retails for $35 and some people would say its pricey. To be honest it is not the cheapest but no Bose product is! I see the quality in it and feel as the price tag was just fine! I highly recommend if you need that dock station so you can just place to charge and lift to take with you!
  • I do agree with other people. This docking station should have been included with the speaker \'as sold\' and not for $35 additional price. This is a nice docking station but worth about $10-$15 retail. Also, this docking station as a relief notch cut in the base for the charging cord to route through so the docking station can sit flush with the surface it\'s sitting on without sitting on top of the cord. It\'s designed for a charging cord with a straight plug at the end. Mine was supplied with the 12 volt plug that had a 90 degree plug end. It did not fit properly in the space allowed beneath the docking station with the cord relief notch cut where it was and to allow the cord to make a sharp turn based on the 90 degree end. So I needed to get out a Dremel tool and cut another relief notch in the plastic base to make it work. \"Hey Bose!\"-- cut two relief notches in this base. One for a straight plug and one for a 90 degree plug. This would add no cost at all and help the customer.
  • First and foremost, it makes charging the SoundLink easier, to the point where you can place it on the cradle with your eyes closed. Secondly, it adds just enough extra stability to make it worth the $35.00 price tag. I think if Bose added a digital clock, it would help with the \"Why do I need this if the SoundLink already comes with an AC cord?\" question.
  • Not much to say about these, other than it\'s convenient to park the plug in one spot and just move the speaker when you want it. Works as advertised. For the price of the speaker, the cradle should be included in my opinion.
  • This should be included with the Bose SoundLink speaker. But my 5-star review is just for the unit and the fact that I can\'t imagine using the speaker as often as I do without the base. It keeps the speaker charged and ready to go to any room around (or outside) the house. If you aren\'t complaining about the cost of the Bose Speaker then throw down the extra money to get this dock. It\'s worth it.
