DetectorPro Gray Ghost Amphibian II Headphones for Garrett AT Pro/Gold and Infinium Metal Detectors
- Radical redesign of the traditional method of waterproofing wired connections on Piezo transducers: All underwater headphones use a Piezo type \"buzzer\" speaker system because land use paper speakers would disintegrate after getting submerged. However, the tonality of the piezo system is unfortunately compromised due to the piezo being dampened with silicone to waterproof the connections... Actually degrading the \"buzzing\" action of the Piezo.
- Quality, comfort, fit and finish you expect from Gray Ghost: Once worn, you won't believe our headphones are designed for underwater use. They are as plush or more plush than most land phones. They fit snug and have soft cushions that won't slip off when encountering waves, submersing your head, or diving for treasure. Detect for hours in total comfort.
- Attention to details: We read the user forums to learn everything we could to improve and surpass the Garrett headphones. Our improvements make the detecting experience much better. Improvements like lengthening the coiled wire cord and leaving enough straight wire coming off the connector to allow clipping to the hook under Garrett's arm cuff. This feature keeps the cable out of your way, eliminates a stress point at the rear of the detector, and helps keep the cable tangle free.
- IP68 rated connector: Our connectors are manufactured to exact Garrett standard. You can connect into the Garrett AT Pro, AT Gold and Infinium metal detectors while maintaining a 100% waterproof seal. Some users are trying to cut and splice Garrett connectors to an older version of waterproof headphone. Get our quality, fully waterproof connector and protect the integrity and functionality of your Garrett metal detector.

- I want to start out by saying, how much I really want to leave a 5 star review because my husband has expressed how much he loves using these with his sea hunter! However, i purchased these for him as a Father’s Day gift for his AT Pro, and they do not work. The AT Pro is an original, and he has 2 other sets of headphones that work with his AT Pro and 2 other detectors. The AT Pro is the detector he uses the most so it’s only a tad disappointing. He enjoys them enough with his rarely used sea hunter that he doesn’t want to return.
- These are amazing! I have been waiting 2 years to get these because thought that 150 bucks was too much. I finally got these from gift cards that I saved and brought them into the field today!People say that it takes time to get used to the tones but I didn\'t find this to be true. Remember this, these phones sound like a small electric buzzer not a speaker. If you think of it like that you\'ll be used to it within minutes. The At Pro only has 3 tones. The low still grunts the mid is more comfortable sounding and the high is not as high pitched but just overall smoother sounding. It\'s almost instant too unlike the softness of the paper cone land phones. These I believe allow easier pinpointing if you use the wiggle technique like I do to locate targets. I\'m glad I got these and if you are looking for a very comfortable headset that you can wear for hours that\'s also water proof like your machine these cannot be beat! These photos were taken the first time I brought these phones into the field. 2 hour hunt in the woods at a local camp.
- Only has three tones and no way to adjust volume. Other than that it’s comfy and does what I need it to. Haven’t gotten the chance to try it in water yet.
- I use to use my old Grey Ghost Headphones as my main Headset for land & water because I could adjust the volume as needed. But my new Grey Ghost Headset has no \"Volume\" control and they are way to loud to use on land. Now have to change back & forth with my Old Garrett Headset...
- Great sound but not comfortable for long hunts. The plastic inner plates crush against the cartilage of my ears, causing extreme pain after an hour or two. Since my hunts last 4 to 7 hours, I have to take the phones off to ease the pain, then try again, the pain returns shortly.I tried a layer of 1/8 \" thick neoprene stuck to the plate with a center hole to let the sound through - no difference. These phones need thicker pads to keep the plate from crushing the ears. The sound and volume is excellent on my Minelab excalibur. The volume is not quite high enough on my minelab CTX 3030 - needs more. This review is based on 22 hours with the excalibur and 28 hours with the CTX. I own 3 pairs of these. They are virtually the same as the GG Underwater phones as far as comfort.
- I\'m totally in Love *breathless sigh*Seriously, they do have a slightly different sound, nothing major, or disturbing... just unique. I spent about 30 mins in the basement going over various targets, and I adjusted quickly.Bottle caps still have that funny twang on the end, and zincolns still make that double sound. The tones are still rich and full, nothing like some of the reviews that kept me wavering back and forth.I\'m very, very pleased with them. Also, now I don\'t have to worry about ruining a set of HP\'s getting caught in a downpour or a miss-step in a creek. All in all, I rate them = Awesome!
- Very comfortable headset. The original headphones I used were very bulky and uncomfortable. This model fits my head like a glove and the sound is extremely clear.
- These are by far my favorite headphones. They have a good sound and prenty of volume range. They fit tight but they are comfortable to wear. I detect all day and never have an issue wearing them all day. The cord is a good length and has good spring to it. No worries with them in the water they performed great. Stop buying cheap headphones like I did and invest in a good set, you will be glad you did
