Sennheiser HD 560 S Over-The-Ear Audiophile Headphones - Neutral Frequency Response, E.A.R. Technology for Wide Sound Field, Open-Back Earcups, Detachable Cable, (Black) (HD 560S) (Renewed) HD 560S
- I have heard people mention that this product has too much clamp force. Whomever said that isn’t terribly bright because you can gently flex the headband to get it broken in properly for massive melons like my head. Incredible comfort and Harman-esque tuning make for a full package headphone. I paid 100 bones for these beauties refurbished through Amazon. My third set of 500 series sennis and they’re utter perfection in my eyes. The detail on my Blessing 2’s is better, but for 150 retail I wasn’t expecting the 560s to be this complete a package. I have nothing bad to say about them.
- The refurbished HD 560S I received was in great condition. I got them when there was an extra discount sale. I first thought maybe they are getting rid of the worst of them, but as you can see I went for the deal. So far they are better than expected. The first time I put them on for awhile - it was gripping my head almost too tight, but after using them a few times for about a week - they were more comfortable. The HD 560S have an expansive frequency range for listening to different styles of music. I took them for a spin listening to different kinds of music: dance, rock/metal, hip-hop, funk, ...,etc. and all sounded good. On the go I still will use a closed back type of headset. I mainly got these to replace a closed back headset - the headband broke. I use them for when playing and tracking DI guitars, so my audio box has a pro-headset driver that can handle any high or low impedance headphones. In my DI guitar set-up the tone sounds better or more accurate tonality with HD 560S (particularly when using distortion modeling plugins / amp effects). Yet, I do notice there is a little more low-end or low-mid end making it sound little muddy (but not too bad) compared to DT-990 Pro. An EQ cut can address that, and that is with a single instrument and not in the full mix. That\'s just a noticeable difference when I compared it to DT-990 Pro headset. HD 560s has a long cable and not coiled (DT-990\'s is coiled) and I prefer non-coil type of cable. Both (HD 560S & DT-990 Pro) don\'t allow the cable to be detached. Most other headsets I\'ve had allow the cable to be detached. I like the option to detach the cable for less strain on the connection when packing it if traveling with them. I probably won\'t travel with them anyway: they don\'t fold, open-back, cable not detachable, and it does not come with a little travel bag. Therefore, HD 560S are not intended to be traveling headsets. Traveling with them is not the reason I got these HD 560S headsets.Overall these are a good sounding open-back headphones. If looking for a good pair of open-back headsets at refurbished prices, then give these a try - even if you go with brand new and not refurbished, yet the refurbished I received was in great condition - and looked new.
- These headphones sound amazing and they feel better than my sennheiser pxc 550\'s.But as great as these headphones are, they shipped with fedex.Fedex said my package was out for delivery 4 days in a row before I finally recieved my package. I talked to sennheiser\'s customer service but they could not give me an answer as to why fedex did this.Still the customer service was very polite and they were willing to give me a refund.
- I’ve been using these headphones for about a month and they are great but the bass is not punchey so I EQed them and it is much better. It also has good spatial audio.
- These are so comfortable I forget I\'m wearing them. Great Sennheiser sound. I like the open design for the clarity and sound quality and also because it keeps me in my surroundings, which is great for someone with a family to attend to while enjoying music. Also, the diaperse heat well, so I can easily wear these all day. I have. Some 560s too, and though extremely similar, the 599 is more comfortable due to less clamping force.
- Stereo imaging champion. Sennheiser intimate sound, like sitting in a studio, with additional soundstage. Great detail, clarity. Tabbed as reference analytical, but the warmth and bass extension contradict this. It is flat but almost too musical and dynamic to be boring flat. THERE IS BASS AND BASS EXTENSION- perfectly blended and tuned. At the very least, a good dac/amp does this headphone justice. For me, Monoprice Monolith USB dac/amp, HELM Bolt, THX Onyx. The Monoprice is so underrated and overlooked, but the 560 loves it and it loves back. The build quality is good, it looks great, and the cable is long but good in getting the perfect sound with an included dongle. So, I have the long cable, the included dongle, the dac/amp and the dac android adapter. Several couplings. After all that, who cares? Almost a perfect headphone!! Jedi-Audiophile magic. Combines the best qualities of many headphones into one device. Plays with your mind because it is so great and versatile. Be aware that this is an intimate experience overall, not really focused on horizontal and vertically big sound. More refined, rather than raw vibrancy and big. Jaw dropping and FUN for long listening.
