Sony MDR-ZX770BN Bluetooth Noise Canceling Headphones (Blue)-NEW
- These appear to have been aimed at the Chinese market (packaging), but they are sealed and otherwise identical to the headsets offered for significantly more money in the US (including by other sellers on Amazon). Ordered last night and arrived this morning (NYC - thank you Prime!). They come with a carrying pouch (not a hard case), a standard USB-to-MicroUSB charging cable (but no charger, and not micro-HDMI as indicated in some of the Q&As), and a standard 3.5mm audio cable for wired use (which does not require the battery to be charged).I recommend you watch one of the review videos for this headset on YouTube. While pairing the headset is easy, there are three different sound modes and switching between them is not trivial (power on with the Vol+ or Vol- button held down and counting the number of blue flashes). Also, there may be an automatic noise cancelling mode that requires a long press on the noise-cancelling button. Finally, the battery indicator requires counting red flashes when you press the power button. The headphones sound fine and pair with a variety of Bluetooth devices (iPhone, PC, TV transmitter). They are comfortable to wear and reasonably light, though probably not the most stylish headphones out there. Surprisingly, there are only a few competitors in this category (Bluetooth, over-the-ear, noise-canceling) from Beats, Samsung, and one or two other manufacturers, and I think this headset holds its own from a price/value perspective.I docked the review by one star because they don\'t come with a hard case (expected at this price point) or a charger.
- Bougt thes for a trans atlantic flight and after long hesitation between the Sony MDR-ZX770BN and the Bose QC25 i decided to shoose the Sony. Back then the QC35 wasn\'t released and i did choose the Sony for the Bluetooth connectivity wich was lacking from the QC25. I never had the chance to try the Sony Before my purchase but after doing some research and having read a couple of good review i decided to take the leap of faith,The MDR-ZX770BN is a great set of general purpose headphone i use them pretty much everyday now and they work extremely well. They are easy to pair with most of my devices ( ipad, iphone 5s, galaxy s7 etc,) it does have some issues with my 15 years old VAIO laptop but i\'m not blaming the headphone. The only critic i\'m giving as to do with the noise cancelling. It does help to eliminate some \'\'even\'\' continuous noise such as a AC unit or a airplane engine but it\'s nowhere as impressive as Bose to eliminate ambient noise such as a crowd or a nearby radio etcFor the asked price i would like to see Sony offering a noise cancellation as efficient as the current market leader Bose.
- Very disappointed with this item, The quality of the headphone is very bad (cheap)+ the upper cushion it hurts your head after couple mins - sound leakage and about the ANC I think there\'s no ANC - I tried it everywhere and it doesn\'t work!!
- I got these headphones a few weeks ago, and I like them better than any of the cheaper options I\'ve bought.Pros:- Comfortable.- Battery lasts me 2-3 days between charges, listening about 4-8 hours at a time- Feels like good construction.- Decent noise cancelling. Definitely brings down the noise of the computers and A/C in the office when I power on.- Light weight, for me.- I can switch from bluetooth to wired when needed.Cons:- Only decent noise cancelling. The background fuzz is very noticeable.- Outside, the wind blows across the noise cancelling microphones and gets amplified a lot. Do not recommend them for walking, riding bike.- I found the controls a bit counterintuitive. Back for next track and forward for last track?- I\'d like an audible warning when the battery is getting low.
- I like these, very comfortable. I need \"over the ear\" because of my hearing aids and can\'t use \"ear buds\". The bluetooth to my iPhone is great, no static or feedback. A bit pricey, but if you need over the ear, Sony headphones work especially well and are comfortable. Only complaint (not as to these but most all over the ear headphones), is they don\'t really fold up for travel and are a bit bulky in my carry-on for the airplane. But my Bose over the ear (not Bluetooth and are \"wired\") also don\'t fold up; so I got the Sony bluetooth to avoid the wires. Neither are travel friendly, but at least I don\'t have wires tangled up as with my Bose.
- These headphones work decently well for the price. They by no means block all noise, but they worked really well for me on a recent trans-Atlantic flight to cut down on all of that deafening background noise from wind, engines, etc. I was actually able to sleep soundly on the plane (a first!) with these on. They are also comfortable. As I mentioned, I was on a trans-Atlantic flight; I was able to wear them the whole 8 hours without shifting them around or having any discomfort. Another plus: my husband has trouble finding over-ear headphones that entirely encapsulate his ears, but these did the trick!
- I have had these for a few months now, and as far as sound quality goes, they are alright. The bluetooth connection is HORRIBLE though. I try to connect these to my laptop, and it takes five tries before the computer even says they are connected, and then still the music plays through the computer, even though my headphones are connected! I try to connect these to my phone on Spotify, and of course it takes five tries, but then the playback is so so choppy. Every word is choppy and it is agonizing to listen to music. The only option left is to use the cord to plug in to my phone! The buttons on the headphones and noise cancelling don\'t even work then, so then what is the point of paying this much for these!
