Sony MDR10R Hi-Res Stereo Wired Headphones (White)
- Comfortable and nice looking headphones. I was looking for two pairs of headphones. One pair for home use (not going out) where I can plug in to my computer to not disturb anyone while I play video games late at night. So this pair was fine since it has a bigger profile on my head than I would want to go out with where it is obvious I am wearing a white aparatus around my head. I also bought the Sony MDR-ZX600 headphones which are over the ear and have a smaller profile that are what I was looking for in regards to my going out headphones while traveling on a plane. As far as sound quality, I actually would say (based on my listening preference) that the Sony MDR-ZX600\'s sounded better to me. I listen to a variety of music from techno/dance, pop (Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez - Good For you and the bass has more pop on the MDR-ZX600s. However, do not get me wrong. These headphones sound great too and are very comfortable.I was looking at other headphones such as the Beats Studio Headphones and the Bose Soundlink II headphones. One thing that I noticed is that the around ear style headlines (where the cups surround your ear completely) do not sound as good to me as the over the ear style (sit on top of your ear with a hole directly the sound into your ear). The sound (primarily the bass) does not seems to have as much \"oomph\". It\'s there but not as much to my liking, and I do not look for overpowering bass either. I just like the lows to have some presence. To be honest, the sound quality of these are not far off from the Beats Studios or the Bose Soundlinks that I listened to at a local target and bose store respectively for alot less. Of course this is just my opinion and what sounds good is different for everyone, but I feel much happier with my purchase with no buyer\'s remorse if I paid the high prices of the mainstream brands.
- These are sooooo comfortable. If you\'re a sound junkie and don\'t want any sound leakage whatsoever, maybe not your headphones. They work well for playing video games on my computer and listening to music for hours. They fit perfectly over my ears with a little bit of room (I have small ears), and never hurt to wear.
- I love these headphones. I\'m not a professional audio engineer, but I do love my music, and have produced/Djed electronic music. I\'ve had them for about a ear now and these are still my go to heaphones. They\'re super comfortable and give a clear sound. the bass isn\'t too heavy which is nice because these headphones don\'t try and come off as having the most booming bass out there. They do sound colored and have a warmer tone so they\'re not the most ideal for producing music, but they do have a wide enough range for it. The only thing I don\'t like about these headphones is the port for the 3.5 mm to connect to the headphones. it\'s small so I find I can only use the sony cables that come with it, which are okay, just shorter than I\'d like them to be. All in All these are great headphones that are probably going to be my go to pair for a while
- Still overpriced at $98. This Chinese-made pair is nothing to brag about; overall quality is just mediocre. Too much use of plastic. Sure, the soundstage is one of the widest available. But, you should consider this only if you find it at $79 or less, brand-new. It is soon going to be out of stock.
- Love these headphones. I wanted a decent pair of headphones to use at work, and these are perfect. They do drown out a lot of noise, but not 100% so I can still hear if a coworker is trying to get my attention. They look good, but they aren\'t so expensive that I have to worry about leaving them in my desk. The sound is better than what I expected for the price. The cord is only to one ear so it doesn\'t get all tangled around my desk chair. They are comfortable to wear for longer periods of time. I mostly listen to music and podcasts on them, nothing with high output demands, but they are very clear and have a decent bass. The one complaint I have is that my ears get pretty warm, but not so much that I really mind.
- For 80 dollars I\'ve had better headphones... In fact my 20 dollar Sony headphones sound the same.
- The comfort on these is unreal, replaced my Beats Studio headphones with these and honestly like these better. They feel amazing, there isn\'t an on/off noise cancelling function but they DO cancel noise. For the price, they are a must buy. Would happily pay $150 for these knowing the quality now.
- Quality is not what Sony was years ago . I will not buy Sony again . I got beats Studio and happy with it .
