  • Human ears hear less bass frequency at low sound levels than at high sound levels. Bottom-end bass frequencies usually get lost or \"falls-out\" when the volume level is reduced.
  • To prevent this \"fall-out\", PASCTM (Psycho-Acoustic Spectral Compensation) sound technology inside the digital signal processor can boost the bass levels by emphasizing low frequencies within the music.
  • Cleer headphones recall accurate bass sounds at both low and high volume levels enabling you to enjoy persistent stable sound, regardless of the volume setting.
  • Cleer's high quality audio products empower everyone to unlock the potential of their favorite HD music files for an audio experience far superior to disc based media. Couple this with the ability to wirelessly stream music from your smartphone or ta
  • The full size ear cups provide superior passive noise isolation and the ergonomic design means these headphones not only fit your head but feel comfortable even after long hours of wearing, making these a great choice for music enthusiasts.

Cleer NC Noise Cancelling Headphone

  • Performs as expected according to reviews. Good sound and noise cancelling. In an environment with lots of constant background noise (such as generators) the ANC makes a huge difference. Truly high quality feel. There can be an annoying ringing that shows up when charging while listening. It may only happen once it is fully charged, I\'m not sure. In any case, the fix is to simply unplug the charging cable. I didn\'t consider this to be enough of an issue to take away a star. I\'m able to maintain enough of a charge that I don\'t need it plugged in all the time. I use this headset off and on for hours every day. I would say they are a bit bass heavy, but that is how they are intended to be.They are very comfortable to wear, even over long periods of time.Edit: The ringing only happens when charging from my computer\'s USB port. I don\'t get the noise when plugged into a wall outlet. However, the provided USB cable is too short to be practical for listening while charging unless plugged into the computer or a very near-by outlet. Again, not really a problem because the charge lasts long enough you wouldn\'t normally need to charge while listening. I left ANC on all night once on accident. The next day ANC was still working.
  • Having used these headphones for a while now, particularly during flights, I can say that I like them a lot. They have excellent noise cancellation properties. They have helped me sleep on the plane several times because they reduce the noise enough to take it off your mind. Their performance as high quality headphones is quite remarkable, too. Whether you watch a movie or listen to music, the sound quality is amazingly good. However, I have two issues with them (which is why they did not get 5 stars): First, they are quite heavy. Fortunately, they are VERY comfortable so that the weight does not matter that much, but you do feel it after a while. Second, they seem to discharge even if you turn them off unless you put the second control (the PASCTM/ANC control) on off, too. That\'s a bit weird and it takes some time to get used to switching both off as it is not particularly intuitive.
  • These are one of the highest rated noise cancelling headphones available, so you might be surprised that I\'m giving them such a harsh review. There are two reasons.First: The description states that they cancel 99.5% of ambient noise. Amazon customer reviews seem to support this. One person claims they completely eliminate office chatter, that people couldn\'t be heard talking in the same room or that foot falls on a treadmill could not be heard. I followed the manual carefully and made sure I was in the active mode and found my pair did none of these. They are superb at eliminating low hums such as those from refrigerators, air conditioners and the drone of outside traffic. But while voices are muffled, they are obvious and clearly and easily understood. Sounds like dogs barking, outside music, \"thumps\" from the neighbor\'s child practicing basketball and hammer poundings are only slightly muffled. If you\'re looking for headphones that completely cancel such sounds these aren\'t them.Second: The bass boost system employed to prevent the bass from dropping out at low volume settings is far too aggressive at emphasizing bass notes at all volume settings. It makes the bass line the dominant sound. Mid range instrumental and vocals are overpowered to the point where singers are hard to understand. I know we live in times where an emphasis on bass is in style, but to render it so strong that it unbalances the musical composition to the point where mid and high frequencies are hard to discern is wrong.I really wanted these to work as good as some of the reviews I\'ve read. I may have been expecting too much, but in the end I was disappointed in the weak noise cancelling ability, even though it may be the best available, and the over amplification of bass tones. As mucvh as I hated to so so, I returned them.
  • This is the first pair of over-the-ear noise canceling headphones that I\'ve ever owned or used, so I cannot compare them to Bose. However, I have owned a pair of Harman Kardon noise canceling ear buds which are absolutely terrible compared to the Cleer NC headphones. I fly fairly frequently and any time I wanted to watch a movie or listen to music on a plane with any of my old headphones/earbuds, I\'d have to turn the volume all the way up to maximum in order to be able to hear it. Thankfully, the Cleer NC headphones perform exactly as I\'d hoped. The ambient noise while the airplane is flying isn\'t 100% eliminated (but still GREATLY reduced), but music/dialogue is perfectly crisp and clear and I don\'t have to turn up the volume any louder than I would if I were sitting in a quiet room in my house. One small complaint is that bass frequencies are a little muffled in noise canceling mode, but not enough to be a big deal. I definitely recommend these to anyone that is considering them.
  • I purchased these for $89 which is a crazy low price for the build quality...unfortunately, I knew I was going to send them back after trying them on as they are heavy. In addition, they just felt hard against my jaw in comparison to other headphones...by far the most uncomfortable ones I have ever tried on. It\'s too bad as I previously had Beats and the build quality was garbage so I looked at these and thought, \"finally, I am going to get a quality pair of headphones that are not plastic\"...as I just felt paying over $250 for anything built entirely of plastic was a rip-off yet one of the reasons company make headphones using plastic is that is much lighter than aluminum or other metal.Additionally, when you have the noise cancellation turned on there is a very significant amount of white noise. While wearing them with no audio on I thought it was raining outside but it was just the white noise created by the noise cancellation. When you turn off noise cancellation, you cant hear it anymore.
