  • Nice little kit with everything you need to replace your screen. It even came with a small tube of adhesive. When removing your old screen, don\'t remove the frame. Slowly peel the screen away from the frame using the guitar pick (or similar) and your fingernail. Heating the old adhesive with a hair dryer makes this a bit easier. You\'ll need to remove the ear speaker grill from your old screen and use the adhesive to secure it to the new screen before installing the new screen. You\'ll also want to remove the clear plastic from the BACK of the screen before installing (there\'s a tab sticking out from the side that you can use to start peeling it off.) I did neither of these before installing the first time and had to remove it and do it again. Don\'t be like me. Connect the screen and test it before going any further. If it works, glue it. Squirt blobs of adhesive onto a little piece of paper and use a toothpick to spread the adhesive onto the frame. The screen is connected at this point so you have to stand it on its edge and work around it. The adhesive cures quickly so squirt a few smaller blobs instead of one big one because it\'ll get boogery as it cures. After putting down the adhesive, you can move the screen into place and gently press around the edges to seat it. I used a Qtip with rubbing alcohol to clean up the big chunks of excess adhesive then placed the phone between the folds of a thin towel and set a couple of 5lb weights on it and let the glue cure. Others use a bunch of rubber bands. I just didn\'t have them. After the adhesive cured, I cleaned up the rest and the phone was good as new. Hopefully it\'ll last...
  • My Google Pixel 5a 5G hit on the bottom corner and had a small screen crack making the entire phone not work (horrible design Google!). I bought this to replace the original. I used my hair dryer to loosen the adhesive on the original screen and separate it from the back plastic. This came apart with the plastic frame which has little clips that attach to the backing. When I went to put on the new screen I noticed that it did not have those clips. This piece does not include the plastic frame- which means that you have to take off the old frame too (don\'t forget the speaker cover at the top). You\'ll see what I mean when you go to install.I\'m glad that I purchased B-7000 glue to put this one on since there is nothing keeping the new screen attached to the frame. Essentially, the original screen was glued to this tiny black frame, which then clipped into the backing plastic. The frame is pretty flimsy, so getting the original glass to come off without breaking the frame is challenging. There is no way for this glass to connect to the frame - I do not think the adhesive included with this would have been sufficient. If I hadn\'t already installed this, I would return it and purchase something that included this frame.I would also say that this screen seems a bit sensitive with click vs. scroll functionality. For example, when on an amazon page, when attempting to scroll down it often clicks on a product instead. I have to go to the edge of the screen to be able to scroll without accidently clicking. It makes it somewhat cumbersome when you are trying to scroll- which is functionality that is in almost every app. After a few days with this screen, it\'s gotten worse. I can barely type anything. Will be returning.
  • Dropped my phone and it landed on concrete on the chin. Display would flicker but mostly just black. Was hesitant to spend almost half what the new phone cost, but finally bit the bullet and ordered it. The glue holding the display on is very strong so you want to make sure you heat it up real good and use something strong and thin to remove just the display. Seems like it would be easy to remove the little frame around it as well so be careful to go into the top crease.Display is working great so far. Will update if I have issues later.
  • The screen completely stopped working within a month of use. Reached out to the seller for a replacement, and after dodging my question for a few days and having to follow up myself, they offered absolutely no support. Will contact Amazon for a refund. Definitely do not support buying from this seller.
  • My Pixel 5a\'s screen smashed and then bought this in hopes of repairing it. It worked great! It doesn\'t have the frame so you\'ll need to remove it from the old screen and glue this one in. I didn\'t use the adhesive tape included in the kit. Instead, I bought B-7000 glue on Amazon for about $5. Worked great. Highly recommend replacing the screen rather than buying a new phone!
  • Unfortunately not sure if this is the original as it broke after first far (with screen protector and a cover)
  • Dropped my Pixel 5a cracked the screen (barely) and killed the entire display. Ordered this replacement - packaging was solid, display was well protected in bubble wrap. The included tool kit was sufficient for removing the old display. New display looked, worked and fit perfectly once hooked up. Used B7000 adhesive to secure the new display (ordered separately). Perfect replacement, would order again.
  • The screen is not original it doesn\'t last. Screen got damaged within a week after replacement.
