  • These are really nice headphones, first of all. It\'s very comfortable to wear, and the weight distribution ensured good wearing experience over a prolonged period of time. The over-ear shape though made single-handed insertion a little hard and it takes some time to get used to. But once they\'re in, they\'re secure, even during longer runs. I took it on several 10K runs and I did not have to adjust the earbuds themselves once. The buttons on the back was slightly awkward. Once you get sweat on it, it gets extremely hard to long-press any one of them with one hand. The sound quality is surprisingly better than many of the similar products and definitely exceeded my expectations. Even being \"Extra Bass\", the mid and treble was not at all blown out and muddy like Jabra Sport Pulse or most of Beats products at similar or even higher prices. Bass was obviously tuned up quite a bit and is impeccable here for its purpose. But by saying \"exceeds my expectations\" doesn\'t mean it\'s awesome. Mids and trebles, especially vocals, are far less crisp and clear than HDA products like MDR-1A. Sometimes vocals or music at really high frequency ranges would crack too. It isn\'t really an apples to apples comparison with the 1A due to price and driver size, but I figure it would be good to know. At this price point, I would consider the sound quality being some of the best you can find around here.Battery life is decent. There was usually more than 6 hours of use (and a few more hours of idling) between charges, and I call that close enough to the advertised 7 hours. This beats most of its competitors at this price range by quite a bit. It was kind of a pity that it did not include any kind of fast charge (or at least it\'s not advertised anywhere), although I usually could squeeze an hour or so to charge it once a while.Build quality is decent but not without imperfection. The surfaces are smooth and there are no excess material or hanging edges on the headphone themselves. The USB port cap on mine had a visible and uneven gap between it and the body, which I found irritating to look at, but it did keep water out so I found it not really being a problem. Surprisingly I found nothing at all between the diaphragm housing and the outside. It was just a straightout hole all the way through. Periodical cleaning of the earbuds might be necessary for those who minds. The carrying pouch is nice and I found no problem with that.I found the cable length adjuster is extremely annoying. It keeps the headphone secure on your head but the adjuster itself is not secure. It has a bad tendency to fall off when it\'s off your head and it also likes to slide loose when it gets sweaty. So for anyone who buys these, always keep an eye on the cable length adjuster.I would also not recommend using it with Apple products for some weird issues. I\'ve used and tested on macOS (at least from Yosemite all the way to Sierra), which seems to have an issue with Bluetooth of all kinds. It has choppy playback far more often than any other operating systems. iOS devices also tend to have poorer treble quality than Android or WP devices for some reason. These seem to be Apple\'s issues and is completely NOT Sony\'s fault. I personally own a Windows laptop, a GS6, and Lumia 950, and I\'ve encountered barely any problem with XB80BS.
