Ultimate Ears BOOM 2 Portable Waterproof & Shockproof Bluetooth Speaker - Cherrybomb Edition

  • I have had this just over a year and the battery will not hold a charge more than 45 minutes.
  • Been using these since 2016. Bought this one for my wife. Waterproof strong batteries and load and clear enough.
  • I decided to buy this after hearing it at the barbershop I go to. I was very surprised to see that all that great sound was coming from such a portable speaker. The main purpose was to use this as a speaker for my computer at work. With the optional ability to use an AUX in, it is perfect for that. So the one small issue is that while this sounds fantastic if it is turned up to a moderate to loud volume, it does not sound very good at low volume. So keep that in mind when you buy this. Is it going to be in a place where you can turn it up? Perfect! If not, you might want to consider something else. Aside from that, the ease of use is simple to setup and use. The Battery life is fantastic. The simplicity of the buttons is straight forward. Having an AUX in as well as bluetooth put it ahead of the competition, even ahead of the newer version of the same speaker as It does not have this according to its description.
  • I\'ve been using the UE Boom 2 since 2015. I had to purchase a new one after having left my original in a car while hitchhiking (100% my fault for it being left). This speaker is super durable, waterproof, and all other kind of \"proof\". I\'ve put this speaker through everything imaginable from long hikes, to rock climbing, to being submerged in the ocean, etc.I opted for the Boom 2 over the Boom 3 primarily because I knew the quality that I was getting and the portability that I was looking for. The Boom 2 was significantly cheaper than the newer model, which again was a bonus for me.If you are thinking about purchasing this speaker, I would recommend getting the travel case for it. This product makes it that much easier to carry around your speaker, without compromising much more space in your bag and will extend the life of your speaker by that much more. You can find the link to the case here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FVEKCCU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A1COZCA2VNKWO8&psc=1*The only thing I have against this speaker is that it sometimes does not correctly play the loading drum beat, rather it makes a loud \"thumping\" noise. I also had some issues with the Bluetooth not playing a song if I had hit next on my phone. Both of which are most likely manufacturing errors.**Note: The Bluetooth issue is no more and appears to have sorted itself out. I am not sure why it was originally causing this issue, but has no longer persisted.
  • I’ve had this speaker for 5 years now and it’s still great
  • I absolutely love my new UE Boom 2 Wireless Bluetooth speaker! I did lots of research and was thinking about getting a Bose, but I am so happy I got this one!. I got this one as it seemed more rugged. It is waterproof and will be great to take camping and other places with me. I love that it can team with other peoples\' UE Boom 2\'s. It has a fantastic sound to it; much better than I would have expected. I cannot imagine Boise being that much better. I\'ve heard the sound from the Boise is better, but the sound and volume capacity on this one are fantastic! It is easy to sync with and easy to use! It has such fun colors too!Update 12/2/2016: I still like this wireless bluetooth speaker, but I don\'t like the drum sound it makes when it\'s turned on or off. I have it in my office now, and that noise is irritating. I have a smaller and less expensive bluetooth speaker in my bathroom that works well enough that it makes me wonder why I got this one. I really got this one for outdoors (hiking, camping, etc.), but haven\'t used it much for that yet. The sound on this one is excellent, but I\'m not really a sound snob.
  • I really wanted to love this Boom 2 as a huge fan of Logitech\'s speakers (current owner of a Boom 1, previous owner of the Roll 2, and previous owner of the Z-2300 computer speakers) but I\'m disappointed in the product. The Good:Design-- it\'s really pretty, durable, and waterproof. Couldn\'t ask for moreConnectivity-- the bluetooth connection to my phone stays rock solid, and the app is fun and easy to use. I love being able to turn the device on/off from my phone, and pairing is a breezeThe bad:Pairing-- While it\'s VERY easy to pair two booms, I own a black UE Boom (first version) and it\'s served me well over the years. I wanted to get two so I could link the two, and while the connection and control is easy to handle, the volume on the two doesn\'t work well together because the Boom 2 has a louder maximum volume, so at any volume level it overpowers the UE Boom. Makes it useless to use the two as stereo speakers (left/right) because one side is always too quiet to hear. This is at any volume level. I\'m sure this would work better if I had two Boom 2\'s or two Boom 1\'s, I just assumed that they would have some system in place that allows for pairing across devices on their lineup in a way that doesn\'t overpower one.Sound quality-- My parents\' just bought a Sonos 1 ($150 on sale, $200 MSRP) and it blows the sound quality of both of my booms out of the water. I can\'t justify paying the same price ($130 on sale, $200 MSRP) for a bluetooth speaker that sounds really distorted, has no bass, and is way quieter than my parents\' purchase.Controls-- the haptic feedback controls (tapping the device on its head) only work about half of the time.
  • I didn’t get a charger block with it but my other 2 did have one but not this one and theses are gifts
