• I purchased two of these receivers. The first one went bad (no sound) after dropping it on a carpeted floor from less than 3 feet (but the display worked fine). While the first receiver was out for repair at Audio Galaxy, I ordered a second receiver (for an upcoming gig). I have since received the first receiver after being repaired and now I have two (functional) receivers. :-)The audio quality is pretty good and sure beats using floor monitors for a gig (it just took some getting used to).Pros: Audio Galaxy will fix any damaged receivers (or transmitters) as long as they are under warranty and the sound is pretty good for this inexpensive receiver.Cons: I really question the quality of the receiver (which is made in China). Other band members (5 total) use the same receiver, and 3 of us have sent the receiver in for repair in the past 3 years. The other two band members had display problems (no display, but the audio worked fine). I would recommend this receiver (and transmitter) for bands with limited funds (new bands, garage bands, or bands with limited funds). I would not recommend this for bands with more capital to work with.All in all its a decent receiver but if not handled gingerly, it may give you problems.
• In my old cover band, I was the only one who used in-ear monitors. When I started my new cover band, I asked the other 4 members to buy a D-Band receiver. The result has been great. We all hear everything. These receivers are built well, they work great, and they\'re affordable.If you\'re looking for your first in-ear monitor system, I highly recommend the Galaxy AS-1100 D-Band. We\'ve played in a bunch of bars/clubs and never had any issues with interference, etc.
• I can\'t complain considering the price and this is an entry level set. It works great. Our band can hear what we need to hear finally (floor monitors were overpowering in our venue). Only complaint is there is static on every band setting we\'ve tried. It comes and goes. Sometimes enough to make us pull the earbuds out but this is a great set to start with if you can\'t afford more. It does the job.
