  • I bought two of these (32ft). One to extend a camera to a PC and the other to extend an audio interface (Focusrite Clarett+ 8Pre for those that would know what this is) to the same PC. The PC runs a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) and OBS recording software for the purpose of creating lessons. USB has natural length restrictions, and I was worried that there might be signal degradation and the original cables for the devices would not reach the PC. The only remedy was to try an active USB extension. I have everything connected and have done a preliminary test. The test was recording a video stream on one cable and MIDI data and audio on the other cable while providing back to the AI, audio and MIDI digital data. Everything seemed to work fine and recorded fine on the DAW and OBS. I haven\'t actually done a full-fledged recording yet to know for sure, but up to this point it seems to work and serves its purpose well. Interesting though, apparently, the computer still provides power to USB port while it is powered off, but the power not disconnected. I believe the motherboard still pulls some power in while it is shut down to keep things like the BIOS, etc. setting intact. When the power goes out totally, the BIOS is reset to default. Because of this, the USB port on the PC provides power to the cable and there is a little blue light that continues to stay lit. When I look into the room dark, I think I have left something on. I have a couple little blue lights lit up glowing in a dark room. Not a problem though or negative to me. Unless it proves differently in the near future, the product seems to be of good quality and works as stated.
  • Using to extend my WiFi adapter/receiver to a better place to pick up the wireless signal from my modem/wireless router. I wasn\'t paying attention when I bought it and didn\'t realize the 25 footer didn\'t come with a DC wall adapter. The cable still works but only because my PC has adequate power for it, some may not. Awesome cable though, I really like it and the Velcro wire wraps are handy as well.
  • I was very skeptical ordering this as the quest can be picky with what cables it can use. But to my surprise it worked flawlessly. The image looks great even with another 15 foot usb C cable attached to it, and I have had absolutely no stability issues, crashes, or stuttering in games. It comes with an external power brick to boost the power output at the end of the cable, and while it won\'t charge the quest while playing, it will significantly increase its battery life (8 or more hours), although you don\'t need the power cable for it to work if your ok with having to recharge the quest once it dies. The build quality is merely OK, nothing more, nothing less. The cable is thick and made of a rubber and the extenders are made of a semi cheap plastic. I saw another review saying that the casing for the extenders popped off which I can definitely see happing. As long as it isn\'t abused or stepped on, I think it will hold up for quiet a while. Compared to alternative methods like a fiber optic cable, or buying an expensive Wi-Fi 6 router, I would definitely recommend this cable as it is significantly cheaper than other solutions and performs just as well.
  • I use this on my racing sim rig that is in another room from my gaming pc. Have not noticed aby lag.
  • I purchased a 24 ft. version for transferring audio from my stereo to my computer. The unit works well. signal quality is excellent. Some versions come with a separate power supply; some do not. The product page is accurate but that fact is easy to miss. All versions have a plug for a separate supply but the supply doesn\'t seem to be available as a stand-alone item. Mine doesn\'t seem to need it. The computer USB port supplies adequate power. (It\'s a 3.0) Older 2.xx ports might be a problem.
  • The extra length came in handy and there was no sound quality lost.
  • We had a set-up where we needed a performer using a USB (Yeti) microphone was going to be about 25 feet away from the laptop that would record their vocals. To make sure the signal didn\'t degrade over this distance (as it apparently can), we scooped up this powered USB cable and it did exactly what we needed it to do. Everything worked great, zero complaints.
  • Needed to connect some lab equipment - USB Thermometer and Microscope video camera over a longer distance. The active USB Hubs we had didn\'t work, but these cables worked great. You\'d never know there was a distance limitation on USB with these. Great innovation, will buy again if the need should arise. Cables are heavy duty and well put together. Only thing to be aware of - there seems to be a limit of 5 USB hubs total, and each extender on the cable counts as a \"hub\" so if you\'ve got other things daisy-chained you might have to redesign things to get down to 5 hubs max.
