- Bass doesn’t hit as I thought it would
- Pretty solid speaker. I wish it was a little bit louder and battery life was better. The worst part of all is that when the battery gets to about 10-15% battery life it interrupts the music and cherps at you to charge it. So for the rest of the 10-15% of battery life you have, you\'ll be constantly interupted to be reminded for the 100th time that your speaker is dying. Horrible and embarrassing in front of friends. Might as well just turn the speaker off at that point. The last 10-15% is wasted.
- For quite some time I\'ve used a Scosche BoomBottle H2O (BTH2O) at work when operating heavy machinery. I purchased this one because I liked the magnetic feature; I can just stick it almost anywhere in my machine (as opposed to the BTH2O that had a carabiner attached, I\'d have to find a place to clip it, and it would get a little beat up swinging around and smacking against things) and because it should be louder (5 watts vs 12 watts). The magnetic feature is nice so I\'ll leave that alone but the volume really doesn\'t feel much louder than my old BTH2O. If it is louder, it isn\'t noticeable in that environment. You can hear songs for the most part but I don\'t know how much of that is actually hearing them and how much is memory filling in gaps because I\'m familiar with them. I don\'t think it\'s loud enough to listen to an audio-book in a noisy environment like that but maybe I\'ll try it and update my review. The advertised battery life of 12 hours is inaccurate. I started listening to music at 9am and by 11am it was completely turned-itself-off dead and the second hour of the two it worked was accompanied with my music muting for the MM to broadcast \"low battery\" chimes every few minutes. In the pictures on Scosche\'s website (and here) they\'ve got it in rugged outdoor environments so I was expecting the mesh over the speaker to be metal (or maybe even plastic) but it has a layer of fabric which seems out of place for something advertised as being tossed into the sand and snow and it doesn\'t feel natural rinsing it off under a faucet after a day of collecting road dust. Better put; it feels delicate in comparison to my BTH2O. It seems Scosche was trying to go for an elegant feel rather than a rugged industrial/maritime/sportsman feel which is one of the things I like about my BTH2O. I\'m skeptical as to how the long it will last before that fabric is aesthetically unattractive or half gone. (In fact the first one I received I returned immediately because that fabric was frayed and separating from the speaker right out of the package).I don\'t know if it\'s fair to have this in a review or not being I could easily see the colors before making a purchase (although gray wasn\'t available when I did) but I would have liked better color choices. I never moved on to a BoomBottle+ because all the color schemes remind me of children\'s toys. Now the choices they offer on the MM seem like artsy was their goal. ... What was wrong with the solid yellow I can easily spot bobbing along the river next to my inner-tube or quickly pick out from the tools sitting on my work bench?I haven\'t decided yet if the convenience of the magnets is a strong enough feature to carry the shortcomings. ... I\'ll probably return it.
- Bought this to replace my beloved boomBottle Plus from a few years ago. That one died due to USB charge port getting loose. Sound quality on new one not quite as good but better than 90% of bluetooth WP speakers IMO.
- This is the best speaker I\'ve found for the golf course. It was always a challenge finding a solution for where to put my phone if my cup holders were occupied by speakers and beverages. I never liked putting my phone in the storage bin to be bounced around while carting around the course. Now I just put the BoomBottle in a cup holder then place my phone wrapped in a magnetic friends case on top of the speaker and voila! The only area of improvement I would suggest is sound quality. I know, I know. That\'s one of the primary reasons for buying a speaker but I\'m not saying the sound is terrible. It can just be improved. If you\'re looking for amazing sound quality check out the EarFun UBOOM. Wow!
- Very happy with this so far. Bought a bose sound link yrs ago, and thought was great!! Hands down the boom bottle way better and better price! Will buy more scosche for sure!
- I\'ve used this BoomBottle MM from the beach to Zion nation park and i love it so much, the design is great with a magnetic bottom and top and it even has a bottle opener. It comes with a steel plate that you can stick anywhere and the BoomBottle will stick to that or any peace of metal like your car or fit into a cup holder.the sound is big and clear and its light enough to hike with but loud enough for everyone to hear, it\'s also water proof and the battery last a really long time! Its a all-around perfect bluetooth speaker and i\'m super stoked i got it!!!
- This speaker puts out great sound and even on the lowest volume you can enjoy what you’re listening to perfectly. Easily sinks up to your device through Bluetooth and I love using it when I golf because the speaker fits nicely in the drink cup holder. I have found that the charge life is pretty true to the 12 hours. It comes with a USB charger, a cigarette lighter adapter and a carabiner which makes it easy to take anywhere.
