BOSS Audio Systems MC750B Motorcycle / ATV Speaker System - Bluetooth, Weatherproof, 4 Inch Speakers, 2 Channel Amplifier, Volume Control, Ideal With ATV’s, Motorcycle’s and 12 all Volt Vehicles
- Ok. These things are huge. And they don\'t have great fidelity or bass response. Or external controls (your phone does all the controlling). BUT they are LOUD AS HELL. I have a Harley Street Bob. 1700cc with straight pipes. And I can hear these speakers at a little over HALF volume going 70mph! Full volume is almost unbearable while sitting on the bike. It\'s easily installed, too. As far as inexpensive aftermarket speakers go, these do the job for Harleys nicely.
- First of all, 1000W RMS is absolutely made up. It comes with a 7.5 amp fuse, and runs on 12V (10-16V per spec). So it shouldn\'t be pulling more than 80W max sustained, and these distort well before then; the fuse will blow a little north of 90w assuming it pulls 7.5amps at 12V. I\'d wager actual RMS is likely 50-60W. The most charitable explanation I can give is they multiplied AC voltage * DC amperage and rounded up. But these don\'t have an AC input, so realistically, it\'s hard to consider anything outside of malice here. I have a 2011 Yamaha V Star 950 with 30,000 miles on the clock with a Vance & Hines 2-into-1 system, and at max volume (~80%) before obvious distortion, it\'s barely audible over highway noise. It sounds much more impressive with the motorcycle powered off. Weatherproof is a bit of a stretch as well. I mean, they still work after being in the elements, but they are a lot worse for wear: any exposed metal is solidly rusted (studs, grills), the \"chrome\" finish (paint) has long since flaked away revealing yellowed/brittle plastic, and the nuts fastening are also beginning to flak and develop surface rust. I dare not take apart the amp to inspect for a gasket. The fact that it\'s rusting while I\'m in California in another drought says these are the cheapest possible metals without even rudimentary weather protection. To put in perspective, these have only been on the bike for a few thousand miles at most - these speakers are *the only rust* on the bike that is 12 years and has seen 10 times the miles. My motorcycle hasn\'t spontaneously combusted, but the quality of materials doesn\'t inspire confidence. If you\'re looking for a cheap speaker set for GPS or around town bops for a muffled bike that\'s going to be garaged, these are great. Otherwise, these will disappoint.
- Product quit working after an hour of use. I have attempted to message seller for some kind of resolution, but no response. Amazon should not continue offering products from a seller that does not help the buyers with resolving product defects. Seller reputation will eventually affect Amazon.
- They are loud. Good bass and they look cool
- When I ordered I didn\'t realize how big the speakers were. Also they are loud but no bass like I would have thought being 1k watt Amp.
- I have these installed on my 2019 Harley Davidson Freewheeler. My pipes are not very loud so these speakers are great for my bike/sound. It\'s loud enough to hear down the highway as well as in town driving around. It has a volume control that is easily attached to the bike handle bars and the subwoofer sets in the front fine. Easy bluetooth to my phone. These are stylish with my bike with the chrome finish. I bought the 4\" speakers are fit nicely on the bike.
