Harman Kardon Esquire Mini Black Esquire Mini Speaker

  • This is a good sounding speaker. If I would compare the sound to anything I would say, if you were able to get your phone speaker to be a bit louder, then that is what is sounds like. I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my wife. Last year I bought her the BOSE soundlink mini, and she liked it. But she had trouble with the Bluetooth connecting/ disconnecting. Now I will admit she is not the most tech person around. Also she thought it was a bit too big for her. This speaker looks and sounds good, do not expect to get a booming sound. When we first connected it, I kept my finger on the volume buttin to see if it would go any higher...It did not. I like my music loud and a good amount of bass. This speaker is mostly treble and little to no bass. But my wife loves it. She used it for her work. She is able to put it at her desk and with the stand is able to move it around anywhere she needs to. She is on the phone a lot and likes that the sound is not so \"deep\". Then at the end of her day is able to fold it up, stick it in her purse and bring it home to recharge it foe the next day. So foe my wife, this is perfect for her uses. But if you are looking to get good clear sound with some bass, I would recommend the BOSE.
  • Finally a TRUE shirt pocket bluetooth speaker. I went ahead and bought this speaker after reading 3 star ratings by CNET and another product review company. These people who do these reviews and expect a speaker of this size to produce thumping hip hop bass and then blame this speaker for not being able to handle it are CRAZY! This speaker sound SUPERB FOR ITS THIN, SMALL SIZE. Also, they compare this speaker with big fat clunky speakers like the Bose Mini and others that will NOT FIT IN ANY POCKET. This speaker is sleek and awesome. There is a track pause/skip ability with one or two clicks of the bluetooth button. It also takes phone calls and works as a speakerphone. It has a USB charger output to help you charge your cellphone when you are in a bind! Bottom line, if you want a sleek smooth speaker that slides right in your shirt pocket, then this is the only choice out there and it does a great job. If you do not care about shape and size, then you should get a clunky sized one which has great physical advantages to produce better bass and sound. People, there are laws of physics...so dont blame Billy Bardy if he cannot slam dunk a basketball. THIS IS A GREAT SPEAKER. THIS SPEAKER WILL GET YOU A DATE WITH A SUPERMODEL...THOSE OTHER CLUNKY ONES WILL GET YOU A DATE WITH A BAG LADY.
  • Nice and small easy to pack. Excellent sound and volume. Easy to pair very simple to work.
  • I mostly purchased this device for its portability and slim profile to go into my workbag for teleconferences, since I take a lot of calls from home. However for the price, I was expecting something that would be a bit better in terms of sound quality and features.Pros:-size, nicely slim and goes into my workbag without being bulky.-sound, is pretty good however not that much better than my oontz curve. And considering the price, if you are not worried about size probably better to get another portable bluetooth device.Cons:-There isn\'t a mute button on the device which makes it a nuance to open my phone every time I need to mute a call. I\'m almost shocked they didn\'t add this feature on as it\'s on most high end devices.-during calls, I like to have the speaker kickstand up so that the sound is directed at me, however the microphone is placed on the side of the device, so sometimes people on the call have trouble hearing me speak. Probably would have been better to place the microphone at the top of the device, but I suppose the engineers decided that most people would not use the kickstand for calls, but for music listening only.
  • The first time I was exposed to the unbeatable sound quality of a HK product was listening music through the tweeters plugged into a computer. WoW I could not believe it.Many years after I good a Mini Cooper S and I made a point to upgrade the sound system to Harmon/Katdon.I am out of my office a lot and I travel all over. I got many Bose products. I have to say that today it was confirmed the H/K are superior. The sharp clarity of all notes and vocals is amazing, about the bass, it is there but obviously is not the top feature otherwise it would be like asking a 10 year old how much money wants to make when he grows up.Bottom line: appoling quality.
  • I\'m surprised this speaker doesn\'t have a higher rating. The sound quality is incredible for a speaker this size. I travel quite a but for work and wanted something I could throw in my slim laptop bag to use for music in the hotel room, conference calls, and presentations. I think this will fit the bill perfectly! My only gripe would be that I don\'t like the micro usb port and I wish that accessories like this would embrace either an HDMI-C or a lightning port. But, that\'s not a big deal.
  • It meets my expectations for specific needs: 1) Two fit nicely in my computer case; 2) Sound projection is adequate for small rooms up to 40-50 people. Disadvantage: 1) You can only use one with Bluetooth, so when I need two I connect through the earphone outlet and hardwire them through a split plug; 2) The instructions that come with them are completely useless.
  • As a conference phone this is a great purchase. The sound quality is great on both ends of a call. As for music quality, it\'s great for my type of music. I bought it purely for an extension to my iPhone call use. The product is well made. The kickstand is great. Just push the opposite end and it pops out easily. The ability to charge a phone has allowed me to retire the two back-up chargers that I typically carry. The price was tough to justify. $129.00 would price this right. That said, it is one of the better purchases I\'ve made in a while for productivity and usefulness.
