Monoprice True Wireless Stereo Bluetooth Speaker, SoundStage3 - Black with 120 Watts, TWS Bluetooth, aptX Ideal Indoor/Small Home Theater
- I read the good review on Wirecutter, but am not impressed with the product I received. I wasn’t expecting stereo quality given that this is a single unit, but sound quality is muddy, and bass and treble need to be adjusted at only slightly different changes in volume levels in order to avoid distortion. The etched controls on top of the unit are impossible to read unless viewed at a precise angle. The remote control needs to be used almost directly in front of the unit in order for it to receive the signal.
- Bought directly from Monoprice. I did not see the low rankings here or I would have avoided this product. Only I\'m to blame. The quality of the speaker as it presents itself, fit and finish are very high. A solid 9 / 10 ... however, the sound is very poor in that it\'s not correctly balanced. All you hear is bass and maybe 15 - 20% high-end. It\'s flat and muddy. If have never been exposed to quality sound equipment, you will not know any better and most people are not. Ear buds sound terrible but for most, this is baseline now and many young people think this is the gold standard. It is not. Maybe you have Dre. Beats, again, same thing. Those are terrible compared to AKG or other high-end studio headphones. At any rate, this are not good at all, unless of course all you care about is loud uninspiring sound with mostly bass. Very disappointed but not surprised.
- I have no idea how anyone in their right mind would say the sound quality is not Excellent for these speakers. Additionally the features, you have a remote control which can mute, increase or decrease bass and treble, along with volume control. I am running two of these from my phone using Bluetooth while streaming YouTube Music. The sound quality at first seemed fairly flat to me. Once you run these speakers for a few hours the highs get brighter. I level these off flat and they are incredibly well balanced. I also did not expect the bass to sound as good as it does. These are legit, no brainers. Purchase these speakers!! They get very loud, they stay clean on the lows, mids, and highs and they an stream from any BT device. They include RCA inputs, Subwoofer Output and an Optical in, along with an AUX in. No joke these are excellent speakers.
- Yes, you read that right; I\'m giving these 1-star, purely for their horrendous sound quality. If you\'re like me, these would appear, on the surface, to check a lot of boxes. They are: Compact. Powerful. Flexible. Dare I say, sexy? Really, they actually look much better in person, and the build quality is outstanding. But... they sound like pure sh@t. The upper midrange and highs are so veiled that vocals sound like they\'re coming from inside a sealed box, and the bass is a muddy, raspy mess. Perhaps the bass would smooth out and warm up after a break-in period, but the upper frequencies are a total write-off. They\'re awful, probably because for some unfathomable reason Monoprice thought it was a good idea to cover silk dome tweeters with thick, fine-mesh metal grills that aren\'t removable. I mean, they scream high build quality, but also bad sound. Oh well. Lesson learned here.
- I received this as a Christmas gift.I am very pleased with it. First, to me, it sounds very good. I do not consider myself a \"golden eared audiophile\" but I have a BA in music and am a professionally trained pipe organist with decades of experience hearing and playing classical pipe organ music, so I know what to listen for from a speaker. It is cost-effective, but I do not compare this small speaker with my primary audio system, which is much larger and more expensive.I use aptX with my smartphone and tablet, and optical from my desktop PC. I have a compact (1 cu ft) subwoofer that I often turn on for classical pipe organ music. Alone (or with the sub) this speaker provides more than ample volume for my computer room.
- I got this as a gift last year and have used it in my garage as a Bluetooth speaker. I have used it as a computer speaker system both using Bluetooth and using the SPDIF cable. It sounds great for such a small speaker. The only thing is now I want a second one for the other channel!
- Nice size for what we needed, works very well with BT connection. Have not checked battery life as we leave it plugged in. Volume control, Bass and Treble from the remote is a nice feature. Overall, very happy with this speaker.
