- Ok, I have been using these for a few years now. I like them a lot and have added 2 more since I purchased the first one.I am a Musician who uses these to record gigs, rehearsals and Demo\'s. It is pretty ideal for that use.They are not perfect tho. So, here\'s some PRO\'s & CONS I\'ve found through the years.PRO\'s - Does what it was designed to do very well! - Excellent Audio quality and good video quality. I do demo vids with this. - Very lightweight and portable. - Very easy to use. - Plenty of (global) adjustments for lighting, sound and resolution (both audio and video). Not pro-level, but good enough for the average lo-tech musician. - On average, using a decent audio and video quality, I can get 5.5 hours on a 32 gb card. I just let it run continuously through a 3 hour gig. - I never use batteries. Always plugged into some kinda power. - Good price, imho.CON\'s - On the delicate side. Doesn\'t take much to break the input port. (Done it twice myself.) - No remote control! If you are trying to record yourself, you have to put down your instrument, run to the camera, switch it on, go back to your instrument and start playing, then go back to the camera to turn it off. Isn\'t this supposed to be tailored to musicians and you didn\'t contemplate this? WTH??? - I did mention the inputs were kinda delicate, right? - That\'s about it.If you do what I do with it, it\'s a no brainer. There\'s a reason it\'s been so popular for so many years. It does what it does very well.I probably wouldn\'t mount it to a humpback whale or an Eagle in flight. But, you could probably get by putting on the bass players head.Recommended.SF
- The mics and recording formats on this camera are wonderful. It sounds amazing and is pretty easy to navigate. But the video is less than great—don’t be fooled into thinking the 4K resolution means it won’t look mushy. Doesn’t come with a plug in power cable or adapter either, which seems like it should be standard for musicians recording their own concerts.
