- PROS:- Two levels of noise cancellation, both very effective- relatively clear sound- No issues with connectivity thus far- No issues with battery life thus far- Comfortable for a few hours out of the box, definitely over-ear headphones that don\'t clamp the earCONS:- While they don\'t clamp the ear (good), they do need a little break in as fatigue can manifest after a few hours if using them right out of the box. Far from the worst case I\'ve experienced though.- I feel the sound quality is just \"alright\". I was kind of hoping to feel like I jumped to the next level of listening from my AT M40x\'s, but it\'s on similar par with those, just with the added noise cancellation. In fact, I think the M40x\'s might be a little crisper, which would make sense given they\'re supposed to be \"studio headphones\", though still much cheaper.- minor complaint: the headphones only turn on (or off) after holding the power button for ~5 seconds. I understand holding the power for 5 seconds to turn off, but why 5 seconds to turn on?- minor complaint: Connecting via bluetooth can be a bit annoying if connecting to several different devices during the day. It requires you turn the headphones off, and power them back on while holding the power button for longer than the 5 seconds just to turn it on, and then it enters pairing mode. I wish there was a separate bluetooth pairing button like many devices seem to have.- total nitpick complaint: Even with noise cancelling off, they might shut out the outside world too much depending on your application. I\'ve used these to voice chat and it\'s difficult to hear my own voice, so when I plan to voice chat at length I use another pair that lets in more of the outside ambience. I realize this is a pro and not a con for many, so i\'m not actually counting it against the headphones in my rating.I\'m not a headphone connoisseur or anything, but i\'m on my way to being one just by virtue of being picky about headphones and never having owned a pair that actually seemed to do everything i wanted them to (comfort, good sound, noise cancellation). I have some used Bose QC15 noise cancelling ones, Audio Technica M40x\'s, random cheap headsets, and now this. This is on par with the M40x\'s or maybe just ahead as being the best pair i\'ve owned/used yet.Make no mistake - I sound picky, but if the PuroPro continue to function for at least a few years with normal use, the way they have been so far, then I\'ll be very happy with them.
- After the pandemic hit and I started fully working from home, I was very nervous that all day phone calls are going to damage my hearing, I landed on this model. My prior model was a tethered Bose QC 15 which works really well but is beginning to fray a bit and Is always hungry for a new AAA battery every week.I was originally planning to replace with the highest end BOSE 700, but the price seemed a bit prohibitive. Anyhow, the worry was still around the loudness that may be harmful. The Puro was new and has one really appealing feature it is both noise cancelling and limits the sound to just 85db which is the first setting (there is another one for loudness if really needed). My initial experience with this headphone was not all that great as I was wondering if the thing is really worth $200. After using it for 7 months now, I think it is worth it and is a good product especially for one feature that no other phone has : the limit you can set for how loud it can go to.The pros: 1. The noise cancelation is excellent. So good that the people at the end have complained about alarms going off at my end that I myself do not hear2. Battery life appears to be close to 20 hours and I do not have to charge daily3. The noise limit setting of 85db that you can override by pressing a buttonNow the cons:1. The headphone is reasonably comfortable but it does start pinching you after 4 to 5 hours of continuous use.2. The band on top can pivot fine to fold but does have some sharp edges and you can pinch your fingers if you fold the headphones carelessly3. There is no app or any such funky feature, but you may not need it any waySo my bottom line : good overall package . Does it’s part. Has some rough edges, literally.
- I\'ve used these headphones occasionally over the last few weeks - mostly for watching movies and listening to music. They sound great, with good bass, mid, and high tones. The active noise cancellation also works well, cutting much of the background noise when it is enabled. My only complaint at this point is that the microphone does not perform consistently, so I cannot use it for important meetings. The sound is glitchy. This doesn\'t affect the audio I\'m hearing - just my voice speaking. Since I purchased these headphones primarily for listening instead of speaking, it isn\'t a big problem for me - just a bit disappointing.
- Good quality headphone which protect the ear from high db sound.
- very high quality pair of headphones, arrived exactly as advertised!
- Received my PuroPro Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Volume Limiting Headphones today. Charged them to get a full battery, took about 20 minutes, enought time to look at the manual. Easy to connect, connect to my laptop and phone. Listen to music while working from home, tried both ANC 1 and 2 settings. Both blocked back ground noise, walking away from my laptop I was able to get between 35 - 40 feet away, with block wall between me and the laptop. Had them on for over 2 hours, no pressure on my ears or any sweat from the ear pads. Enjoying them so far, only wish there was a mute button, for use during conference calls. They come in a nice case and wooden box for storage, pretty nice. (see pictures)
- A friend recommended this brand and I must confess I was sceptible before I received the delivery, but after using them for several purposes I could not be happier with my purchase. Packaging was impressive, with the wooden storage box and cushioned travel case. Bluetooth setup was a breeze. I was amazed by the ear comfort and enjoyed hours of music without needing to remove them even once. I cannot wait to use them on a long airflight. They also perform great for phone calls, much better than any kind of earbuds that I\'ve ever used. All in all I could not be more pleased with my purchase, and look forward to using them more and more. My wife wants her own pair now, too.
