- I purchased two speakers. The sound is very impressive in enclosed spaces and in fact we normally use them with the volume turned quite far down.The lights are fun and sync nicely to the music. They can easily be controlled from the Sony music app. Which brings me on to the main downside: the app is janky and the speaker grouping is very inconsistent, though having a single speaker paired to a phone works well. The app calls itself Music Center or something grandiose like that.I don\'t want a music center. I just want to configure my speakers, and in particular, set the speakers to partner together, as when they do, it sounds great. But they always forget that setting. Somehow everything I want to do with the speakers is buried three menus deep and then never sticks. I\'ve tried the Android app and the iOS one, somehow Sony wants to have a pairing with their app beyond what the phone agrees with and this works marginally better in the Android version. The speakers always forget they were buddied up and to get them to play together again means going into the app a few times and retrying a weird process that claims to take twenty seconds but typically just gets stuck. Party Chain mode seems more finnicky than having both connected to the phone.When they are running low on battery they refuse to play except at low volume. This is confusing as it makes them seem super weak but actually they just need juice.Great sounding speakers - but they cause me considerable frustration fooling around in the app to retry joining them to play together after they forget each other for the umpteenth time.
- I love these speakers. They sound pretty good. The lighting is a nice touch with different lighting modes. They also have a cool feature where if you hit, bang, or drop the speaker it makes a wacky thump, or symbol sound. I like that its covered in a woven fabric.Pros: The sound. You can switch between bass mode, and live sound mode.-Water, and dust proof- Easy to connect-Can take phone calls-Portable-Can add many speakers to the line up so you can have sound all over the room, or house if you prefer.-The color choices-Party Lights. Can be turned on, or offCONS: Battery doesn\'t really last that long if you\'re using the speaking with the lights together. It last a good bit of time regardless just have to charge it way more than with the light turned off.Someone\'s review said that these could not be used with the charger plugged in. I don\'t know about that because i can definitely use mine with the chargers plugged in no problem.I have 2 and plan on getting more so i can have them in certain areas of my house when i walk throughout the house and play music, youtube, and maybe even taking a call
- Awesome sound and definitely water proof! Brought it with my kayaking and my friends were impressed with sound and the lights was the cherry on top! The battery life seems to last longer when charged at the required time. The battery indicator will say fully charged but I had it last 4 hours straight one day and about 9 hours the next. The difference is how long I had it charging even when it started battery fully charged. Turning the lights off helped battery too. I love this speaker. The only thing I wish it had was some kind of hook or connector to be able to carry it on you like the JBL. I bought a case and modded it to where you can listen through the case strapped around your shoulder or whatever. Lol
- Nice unit however it is a little too big for me. I have a jbl 4 that I prefer. Also it doesn\'t always pick up bluetooth when moved from computer to phone and back. love the lights.. use it in the sauna all the time and it makes the atmosphere much better.
- The sound and basses are out of this world. The light effects give the speaker life. I have JBL Charge 3 and I have lots of problems with it reconnecting to Wi-Fi which gets annoying, so I am planning to give it away or auction it off. The Sony SRSXB41 has immediate response when reconnecting and its sound is way superior to that of the JBL. I did not expect such perfection for the price but this is definitely a top speaker. A++++ I highly recommend it.
- Had this for a year and a half . Battery life got worse but aound quality is still the same , water proof, and can sit it pretty much anywhere. I have had some issues with it being cold out with it but other than that , still is a great speaker.
- I dont buy anything without doing proper research and i found this model one of the best available these days i\'ve already compared the sound of it with others at best buy etc and it came as per my expectations, quality and sound are all good so far. I cant say anything about battery at this point because i didn\'t use it much but so far so good connectivity is easy. Blue color goes realy well with all the disco lights. Sound with extra bass is good. I can even connect my karoake mic witj it. I would recommend it
- This speaker slaps, plenty of bass offered through the compact design. I live the colored lights addition to the speaker and it really brings life to the area whether you’re hosting a party, or listening to music in the shower. Also love the fact that it is water resistant. Best money I have ever spent on a speaker.
