• When I’m 80 and without headphones around, I will look to Amazon (if it’s name hasn’t changed by then) for these exact headphones. It knocks I’m sorry, it CANNON BALLs and propels Dre beats out of the sea of headphones, on the shore of audiophiles. To me, they’re better BOSE headphones, never cared for them considering when equipped, you can tell they are due to the weight of the headphone. I’ve seen in the decade I’ve had this for critique on all sides about the size of these things, but you get what you pay for when it comes to these. The size acts as ear muffs in the winter walks one may take. I’ve had Denon’s, and other brands I’ll leave unnamed, so as to not butcher the spelling of any of them; but every time I put these on, I’m at home. It’s loud in terms of if you pump up the volume in a bus, those around you can hear what you’re listening to. So I’ll admit these are the ones you sit at home with wine too, or dance alone on a Saturday night with, but it’s still nonetheless something that brings me home to that high quality bass sound these offer.
• I bought these for 2 reasons comfort and durability. I have used and tried the beats buys they are made of cheap plastic so they are prone to breaking, they also have a much poorer sound quality when it comes to anything other than bass. The comfort level of the beats are the worst of all their problems, the pads are not soft like the Sonys and they are to small to go around the ears without some manhandling. Sony has stepped up to the ate and hit a home run with the mdr xb-700s. They are extremely comfy and have outstaniding sound quality throught the sound spectrum. The bass is killer but it doesn\'t over power so much that the midrange is muffled, but this can be changed with the EQ settings. My only complaint is that Sony either no longer sells them in the us or that they have been out of stock for the Past 2months. Which is the main reason I got them exported. But I will definentely recommend these to anyone looking at th beats or any other high end headphones especially at the price! You might be lucky enough to find another seller selling for 79.99 some where other than Sony or amazon.
• As a person who listens to many many different kinds of music it\'s really hard to find headphones (and an equalizer) that can keep up and make everything sound good. These are those headphones. The extra bass really makes any rap, hip hop or pop sound fantastic, and has the right amount of mid and treble to keep all the rock, classical, jazz, and indie sounding smooth and crisp. I just wish I had found these years ago, then I could\'ve retired the old skullcandy hesh that I\'ve been keeping around. These are so much more comfortable, the pillowy ear pads fit just around my ears instead of sitting on top of them, which is great because I have a lot of piercings in my ears and they used to get irritated, I could probably sleep in these! While they don\'t come with any case and aren\'t as easy to carry as ear bud style headphones, these are definitely fantastic quality and I\'m am very pleased with these :)
• Holy Moley! These headphones rock!When compared to my old Skull Candy\'s, it sounds like I was listening to my Skull Candy\'s through a pillow this whole time. My old headphones used to hurt my ears, and were extremely grainy. Here the Sony headphones produce massive bass frequencies beautifully and they are easy on the ears. I only wish I had bought these sooner since I listen to my headphhones 7 hours a day at work.Disclaimer: I mostly listen to dubstep/electro/house. Since these are bass headphones, my music sounds better than ever.
• Nice, so comfortable, can lay down and sleep with these on. Good bass, everything else is nice and loud and clear as well.

• I highly recommend these headphones. Mine are almost 10 years old and the earpads are disintegrating, but they still sound superb. Clear, crisp overall sound and crushing bass!
• I love my music very much. I also like a lot of bass when listening to my tunes. I 1st saw these totally outrageous headphones on Amazon.com and of course, I had to have them. To date, no regrets whatsoever. I can listen to my music and NOT bother anyone due to the amount of bass I like. The beautiful headphones form Sony are well made and very sturdy. I have had these for about 5 years and nary a single problem. I have told my friends about my XB700\'s and most of them purchased a set for themselves. Do yourself a favor and order these for yourself you won\'t be sorry...
