Sudio Femtio Portable Bluetooth Speakers with Good Base - Wireless, IPX6 Waterproof, Dual Play, with Microphone, 14h Play Time, for Android and iOS (Anthracite/Copper)

  • I have the Sudio Femtio speaker in both black and anthracite/copper, and for what it\'s worth I think the anthracite looks much cooler. It\'s a close run thing as the speaker looks great in both colourways, but the copper accents tip the scales for me.As for the performance, this speaker is a solid contender to replace my Coleman One Source as my go to Bluetooth speaker for my iPad. For the price the sound quality is excellent, with clear, crisp mids and capable bass making it ideal for everything from podcasts to movies. I suffer from fairly severe tinnitus that often makes dialogue sound muddy and indistinct, but with the Sudio Femto I don\'t have any difficulty making out speech.I only have two small issues with this speaker. The first is that the sound is very directional. From the look of it you\'d expect it would project sound forward, back and out of the top, but the fabric cover is something of a ruse. In reality the speaker only projects forward, which may be an issue if you plan to use this at a party, at the beach or anywhere else you can expect listener to surround the speaker on all sides. My second issue is that the rubberised cover for the charging port is absurdly difficult to open. I have no fingernails so had no chance of opening it without help. In the end I broke a sturdy plastic toothpick twice before managing to pry it open. All in all I\'m impressed. I\'ve tested better speakers, but not many at this price have surprised me like this does.
  • I really like this speaker, it\'s one of the most beautiful speakers I have owned. The bottom line is, at its price point of $130, I rate it four stars.I\'m not an audiophile, but I do like to collect good audio equipment, such as headphones, earphones, and speakers. My brands of choice are Sony, Sennheiser, and Harman Kardon. This speaker doesn\'t compare to my HK speakers, which my favorite is the Go + Play 2, which is a whole other level, but it does compare decently to the portable Sony speakers at this price range. It\'s great for podcasts and speech videos, but it lacks the middle and lower oomph\'s that the bigger brands do. Overall, it\'s just a step below. But the sound is clear, so it\'s not the quality that it lacks, but the size of the drivers. Therefore, the ideal situations are for the bathroom when big loud isn\'t needed, or for a trip where space is a premium. The stand/pedestal allows it to stay in place, so you can put it somewhere and not have to worry about it. Finally, the design and style is very sleek. I got the rose gold metallic accents over gray fabric, which is a very nice combination. Overall, it\'s good, just not worth $130 to be five stars. It should be priced under $100 to be successful.
  • I just loved the look of this speaker and I really wanted to love everything about it. I got the one with the grey/silver textured cloth and gold finishing. It really is beautiful. Honestly, when it first arrived and I noticed the packaging, everything screamed quality. It\'s a white, retail, clamshell package that opens to the speaker, manual (tucked in the back with its own packaging) and USB-A to USB-C charging cable. I really couldn\'t wait to give it a try.The speaker, as I mentioned before, is really beautiful. The golden center rings on the sides are speakers (that vibrate when playing), there are 4 top buttons (Phone/BT, +, -, Play/Pause), a grey cloth texture and LED lights in the black stand that just make this look like a centerpiece. There is a decent weight to the speaker as well, that gives it this feeling of quality. There is a silicone protection plug in the back that hides the USB-C charging port and AUX jack, making it water tight.Pairing via bluetooth took only seconds and gives a loud, bassy \"womp\" sound when paired. I paired it with my iPhone 11 Pro Max first and my LG Velvet 5G second, this way I could see if the sound was the same with iOS and Android. I used Amazon Music, Apple Music and Spotify to test the sound.Songs are very very deep showing great bass. There is also a sharpness to all of the highs. The issue I find is that everything in the middle is missing. Placing the speaker low, and you can easily hear everything missing in the sound, so placing the speaker ear level or higher can help fill in the gaps. At that level though, the speaker sounds decent from a distance. So, putting this in an area, like a shelf, makes for a really use of this speaker.I think these were really made to be paired. If the sound were separated, I can really see these shine. But, I really think these should be sold in a pair then. If you are interested in looks or pairing these speakers, I highly recommend these. Otherwise for sound, there are better in this price range.
  • The sound quality and bass presence of this continues to impress me. Bluetooth connecting is a breeze, and the charge lasts seemingly forever. We used this over Christmas season just running our own Christmas playlist as family was visiting, and never charged it once. And I use it all the time for background music (usually plugged in continuously for that). The main thing is the audio quality: it really sounds great and the bass response is as good as I\'ve heard for something this size. Very pleased!
  • I love the colors and design of this speaker. I would say the sound is average for a Bluetooth speaker in this price point. I wish it had an actual power cord however. It only comes with a tiny short charging cord (c type). Battery like seems fine right now, box says there’s 15 hours worth of listening on a single charge.
