Yamaha Audio TW-E7A True Wireless Noise-Cancelling Earbuds, Black (TW-E7ABL)

  • Overall these are pretty good ear buds. As Yamaha\'s most expensive true wireless buds with noise cancellation they deliver great sound, for the package. The downfall is the convenience and ease of use. I could be doing something wrong but If I only want to use 1 bud to listen I can only use the left side. Also to do some actions you need to use both ear buds because you use the left to lower the volume and the right to raise the volume. I also noticed that the controls are backwards from what the online instructions say, but not a big deal (eg. left side lowers volume even though manual says the right does that). They do stick in your ear very nicely with the rubber inserts without having the part that sticks around your ear, so you can wear glasses much easier with them.Prior to these I used Powerbears pros on an iphone. They were a very similar price. The powerbeats were very nice where they connected much easier, had better bluetooth range, I could use just one earbud without any issues. However they were in a bigger storage case, had no wireless charging case, and they were build for apple products so that made much easier for them to be more convenient when used with an iphone.Overall if I was to choose between these or my powerbeats I would still choose these (I am biased towards Yamaha because I love Yamaha motorcycles). They sound much better and have noise cancellation. I just have to take off 2 stars because of the large price for a premium product but it still has quite a few things that makes it harder to use compared to my powerbeats.
  • What you need to know before buying.I have a lot of earphones of the same price. It can be said that the sound quality of this earphone is the best. The only disadvantage of sound quality is that the bass is not heavy enough. But this type of headset has the same problem. The case of the earphone is larger than normal. The advantage is that it can be charged wirelessly, which is really convenient, especially if you have wireless charging in your car.My case has not been plugged in during a few weeks of use. With wireless charging, you basically don\'t have to worry about the battery life of the headset. The software of this headset is very backward, especially the first connection is very confusing. You must take the left earphone out of the box, and then take out the right earphone. At this time, the status light of the left earphone is flashing blue and red, and the right one is blue. If not, you will have to put the headphones back in the box and start again. Then you can connect to Bluetooth. The phone will display two devices: the left earphone and the right earphone. You can ignore the Bluetooth link status of the headset on the right, as long as the link on the left is on, you can use it. In the future use, the left and right earphones are not taken out in the order, and the Bluetooth link is relatively normal. The software on the mobile phone only has listening care, noise cancelling, and auto power-off timer control options. The disadvantage is that if you take off the earphones from your ears, the music will not stop. You need to stop the music manually so that the earphones can shut down by themselves. In general, the sound quality of this pair of headphones is excellent and it is worth the money. But there are some defects in the software, and I look forward to its firmware update.update : The reason I changed to 3 stars is that when my mobile phone is automatically linked to the car’s entertainment system, the headset cannot be automatically linked to the mobile phone, so I need to turn off the Bluetooth and reconnect. Very inconvenient, this product is not recommended. If the manufacturer fixes the bug, I will continue to update.
  • Yamaha\'s first entry in the True wireless market get several things right. Wireless charging, charging via USB typeC, good IPX rating, support for APTX and AAC, good battery life, but things take a dive after that unfortunately. the case size isn\'t to bad, but it\'s cheap feeling and doesn\'t feel like it would hold up to regular long term use. That\'s not only in the build, but the hinje as well. The Earbuds themselves come with several different tip options, but they also have a very cheap ordinary feel as well. They have buttons for control, which i don\'t consider a bad thing, i like touch controls and buttons alike. These work fine and allow for access to your digital assistant, track navigation, answering and ending calls and volume control. none of these things should be absent from a True wireless product, but some brands omit 1 or several of these features, so i want to give credit to Yamaha where its due. Call quality isn\'t bad on these either. Not the best, and definitely not the worst. So, call quality isn\'t bad, sure the case and earbuds might feel a little cheap, what about the sound? The TW-E7A don\'t seem to be designed with an emphasis on any part of the audio spectrom, but more than that; products that stand out don\'t just have an emphasis on bass for example. it\'s also about the quality of the sound. Good audio products at any price have a refinement and are physically designed throughout, to maximize or bring out not just treble or mids that stand out, but a certain sound. That\'s partially why there have been and will be so many options for speakers, headphones etc. And that\'s a great thing. The TW-e7A don\'t stand out in any way. listening to them doesn\'t offend the ears, it isn\'t a harsh sound for example, think of going to a restaurant that serves a wide variety of dishes but they somehow all taste the same. To me, That describes the sound of the TW-E7A. Yamaha has been in the audio business for a long time. And while these may fall short, i look forward to future product releases from the company.
